Biden calls out moderate Democratic senators, urges 'action' President Biden this week took the rare step of calling out two Democratic moderates — Sens. Joe Manchin (W.Va.) and Kyrsten Sinema (Ariz.) — in a sign of growing frustration over stalled legislative priorities.

Congressional aides say Democratic lawmakers have been reaching out to the White House in hopes that Biden would be more actively involved in efforts to convince Manchin, a key swing vote, to get behind the Democratic agenda.

Biden can't peel a banana on his own but they want him to reach out to Manchin? Just cut a check.

And once again, either a bald face lie about sinema and mansion(sic) or, more likely he doesn’t know which sox to put on.

Manchin apparently wants to run for governor of WVA. I doubt he wants to face the voters in a state that voted 70% for Trump if he OKs trashing the integrity of US elections, ruining the fossil fuel industry, driving gas prices to historic highs (No, Investor Granholm, most of us don’t own electric powered vehicles), abolishing zoning laws, and the rest of the Imposter’s program.

Why isn’t big media talking about how great and brave and courageous Joe Manchin is like when they praised McCain for not toting the party line/vote? Weird huh?

The moderate democrat senators know they stuck with a stooge for the next three years the border invasion is just the beginning of his chaos platform.
World leaders know they have a punt to push around and ribs hurt from laughing.

All the dem senators will come home. You can bank on that. Both of these hacks won while Trump, at his most popular, campaigned against them. They have nothing to fear about losing their seats. Manchin, like all senators, has bigger fish to fry. You know the sweetheart deal the Manchin family depends on could be affected if Joe doesn’t play ball. God forbid the price of Epipens being lowered for the people who need them at Manchin’s expense.

Mylan Pharmaceuticals was sold to Upjohn November 2020. I don’t think the Manchin family has any say anymore in it. This not a defense of Manchin its just a fact. There’s lots of reason for being distrustful of Manchin this is no longer one.

Well I’m glad she straightened up and is now a respectable, honest corporate henchperson. If it’s not Epipen it’s another DC influence peddling scheme. Manchin is like all the other senators. He came to DC to get rich. He stays for the perks and to guarantee his family is set like royalty for the long term. He’s on the Biden senatorial glide path and he won’t let a bunch of farmers getting taxed muck it up.

“Manchin apparently wants to run for governor of WVA.”

Joe Manchin was WVA governor for two consecutive terms starting in 2005. He is ineligible to hold that post again.
Furthermore at age 73 he has a sweet deal going in the Senate. He can stay in the Senate until he’s hauled out feet first.

Manchin either wants to be President or the next Byrd.
I think his Prez dream isn’t remotely realistic. (But if you have a delusion it might as well be a big one!) Being the next Byrd is much more doable, though he has competition for that with Capito. I am not sure who has senoirity, I think they’re pretty close to each other. Whichever one finds a way to permanenantly attach themselves in some way to the Senate Finance committe will win that derby. (Both currently serve on it!)
