Even though it is a telephoto shot, each succeeding tank should appear smaller than the preceding tank if they were all the same sise.
The only explanation is that there are four different-sized tanks.

That image you have posted is odd.
If you view the recorded footage and other stills, you see Tank Man holding something in both hands. Your image shows nothing in his right hand, although what looked like his jacket could have been switched to the left hand by the time he stops the tanks at the pedestrian crossing.
The Microsoft “error” has certainly generated plenty of “Streisand Effect”. Perhaps someone knew how to play this?
