RANDOLPH, Mass. (AP) — Russian President Vladimir Putin took a little of piece of Massachusetts with him after his meeting with President Joe Biden this week.
The U.S. president gave his Russian counterpart a pair of custom aviator sunglasses manufactured by Randolph Engineering, based in Randolph just south of Boston, according to the White House.
The gift was the company’s Concorde teardrop aviators, in 23-karat gold finish with 57mm polarized American gray lenses, the company posted on its blog.
They’re listed on the company’s website for $299.
“Biden has always been a big fan of aviators for his personal style, it was only fitting for him to gift our premium Concorde frames to his guest,” the post said.
The glasses were customized with a Joe Biden signature on the right lens and inside the temple, the company said.

May as well have given Putin a 3 pack of Jockey underwear. I’m betting he already has sunglasses. Who cares anyway? Biden is a void. A black hole. A Nothing. And Putin knows it.
But Randolph does make excellent sunglasses and frames. Though their prices have skyrocketed in the last year. I don’t think the Hologram’s wearing them or giving them as gifts will increase sales.
My CG issued flight glasses were made my AO/American Optical. Still have a pair but cant use em cause there no script. But a good “keepsake”
Had another pair I sold at a yard sale to this little guy about 10 yo for a buck. Gave him the history about Navy & CG Av, pilots Blah Blah Blah and he loved em. His Mpm said it made his day.

I have three Randolf frames. All excellent quality. Two of them are going back to Sports Optical for re-lensing with my new prescription.
If trump gave this to putin they would have accused trump of paying him off for helping with the “Russian Collusion”... or some such non-sense,.
