David Archuleta took to his Instagram account earlier this month to reveal he is a member of the LGBTQ+ community. American Idol veteran, 30, shared he felt relief after he did so because he no longer had to hide a part of himself. When he came out he said he was not sure about his sexuality but now feels he is 'some form of being bisexual' as he is attracted to both men and women. Specifically, that he felt 'so much relief to not feel like you have to hide a part of yourself, like a secret.'
When asked about his sexuality, the Crush singer said he was still figuring specifics out and noted that he was open to being in relationships with both men and women. 'I'd say that I don't know, I guess, some form of being bisexual... I'm still attracted to both, whether I like it or not.'
Archuleta also remarked that he struggled with his faith when coming to terms with his sexuality and initially reached out to a higher power when doubting himself.
He recalled: 'I was praying like, "God, you can do all things... Please take these feelings away from me because I don't want to feel things I shouldn't. I don't want to feel things that would be wrong."' The singer then shared he has accepted himself for who he is. 'I've had to learn how to love myself, even when I don't understand why I am the way I am but to learn that's how God has created me,' he said.

He noted that he previously 'tried for almost 20 years to try and change myself until I realized God made me how I am for a purpose.' Archuleta concluded by imploring his fans to 'keep asking and seeking, and having compassion and patience.'
This is very, very, very sad :( Now we have folks of “faith” declaring “God made me like this.” The days of Sodom are upon us once more.
Quite the i doll
Yes, just so sad. I was shocked to learn his dad (they are Mormon) was unfaithful to his wife...then rumors started it was with a man. So can’t say this is totally shocking, but another voice for “God made me like this.” We don’t need any more of that!
Go F yourself, Dave
IIRC, he’s a very religious kid. I always suspected he was a bit light, but always really liked him. I hope he finds the answers he’s looking for. I just wish he didn’t think he had an obligation to reveal this to the world.
So, he’s saying he is tempted, but denying yielding to them. OK. That’s fine.
“until I realized God made me how I am for a purpose.” That’s rationalization.
Then what was he before he was born?
Then what was he before he was born?
Some people have stronger filters, and others weaker. The obligations are there regardless.
As I recall, he was pegged as queer during the time he was a contestant on the program, by several of the “regulars” on the old American Idol live threads.
Another sexually confused person who is part of a fraction of a percentage of the population yet the press provides disproportional coverage to convince us this is normal behavior.
Sounds like he’s just a horn dog.
I’ll screw any form of animal, plant or human on Earth, because Garsh made me that way and I am proud. signed.....All perverts ever born.
Homosexuality is NOT about SEX, it is about living my true self.... Signed Perverted Liars.

yep, not interested in others sex life's.
Summary: some 3rd tier singer seeks attention from the media by saying he is a sodomite to save his failing career.
They’re all gay now.
He should try something novel (or at least not that common any more).
Marry a tiger.
Declare himself divine and start a religion.
Marry a tiger AND start a religion. About a tiger diety.
Who would have guessed it??? /s
I would say to all like Mr Archuleta, that though I know you are being as honest as I think that you think you can, that not understanding your feelings, not understanding how they arose in your life, is not the same as “G-d made me this way”.
Ascribing to G-d anything about ourselves, our personality, that we do not understand is intellectually dishonest.
It ignores the long march of miniscule decisions and choices from our long childhood and since, and how tons of minuscule things collectively add up to big things about us over time. True, by our maturity we do not see a single stand-alone by itself thing where we said “I choose this”, in many personality matters.
But not being able to identify all the collective steps in the process is in all intellectual honesty NOT the same thing as “I was made this way”. Why? Because when many of those miniscule steps happen, particularly the younger we are, there is little identification of the big thing about us they will come to have collectively produced. Many aspects of personality are the sum of tons of things over time, and that is why for many of them we don’t and can’t say “I deliberately chose this”. All we know is it just is. But saying “I was created” this way is inaccurate and, with full understanding of personality development, dishonest.
