“Either his kids and Grandkids and his Dog were threatened.”
I’m skeptical about that. I think he’s truly a DS embedded snake, and he was following his true ideology. When he was on stage with PDJT, and Trump was speaking, it was more interesting to watch Pence’s face than Trump’s. Derision and hate were clear — even when that phony smile was cemented on his face, and he nodded his head slightly.
The rest of my statement is “or he took a pay off”
I tend to agree with you. :)
“Pence said. βThe Constitution provides the vice president with no such authority before the joint session of Congress.β
Absolutely true.”
The Constitution doesn’t say we must tie our shoelaces either. Does doing so unconstitutional? Just sayin.....
In the election of 1876, dualing groups of electors were sent by many states. A commission was set up to settle the dispute and the counting of electors was postponed until a decision was reached. Thus Pence could have delayed the counting of the electoral votes.
There was a considerable amount of time, several constitutional amendments, and a number of laws passed between 1876 and 2020. There is nothing in the legislation in place now that allowed Pence to delay the Electoral College count.
It’s an endless list of traitors.
Pence doubling down on treason.
Pence = Sessions = Barr.
There were no constitutional Amendments passed after 1876 that dealt with this, nor any laws. Nor were there any laws at the time. That was my point. The only thing you can look to if it is unclear is precedent. The election of 1876 is a precedent.
I love when one of us comes back with proof when questioned. Just watching it vicariously raises my own feelings of competence.
Pence’s sin was not in following the Constitution as he saw it-—which was his right-—but in lying, twice, to Trump supporters then to Trump himself about his intentions.
Read my 2-part piece done with Stu Cvrk called “Agent of Disaster” in www.uncoverdc.com. Whether knowingly or unwittingly, Pence played the key role in moving authority from the federal government (Trump) to the states, which in turn meant to Dr. Fallacy.
The states had no medical officials even remotely close to being able to challenge Fallacy. Once “federalism” was foisted on Trump, Fallacy was in charge.
I used to like Pence during the years in office. I was naive about him I suppose. The certification and now its aftermath has made him fall in my eyes. I didn’t expect him to turn the election around but as some had suggested at the time here he should have walked away from the fiasco. His enthusiastic embrace of it all cements in my mind he has proven to be worthless.
From a first person account of people near the front of President Trump’s speech:
some people began to leave at the end as it was freezing
some people were feeling disappointed as the speech didn’t address them
some people felt like something was “missing” as the speech was winding down.
Then:
People began to learn of Pence’s speech
People began to share the news that Pence would not kick anything to the states
People were more than a little pissed
Some of those people began to leave to go to the Capitol.
They weren’t happy and by the time they would get there, at least 30 minutes later, the Capitol would have seen police waving them along.
Someone would open at least one large door with a magnetic lock from inside.
Anyone who wandered inside even for 10 minutes, took pictures and left is now declared an “Enemy of the State.”
They are trying to destroy them to use against President Trump. It’s underway.
Probably both.
#158 and #159.
Absolutely!
I read somewhere that you were.
