I’d go with a Pithecanthropine.Correct me if I'm wrong but I am assuming from the images that the skull fragment and partial jaw fragment are all they have. The skulls on the table are for dramatic display.
No way to tell from a single fragment of skull and jawbone if it was human or ape.

When the Great Apes were separated, how many generations did it take for them to evolve into separate species such as orangutans, gorillas, chimpanzees and humans that were incapable of interbreeding with each other and producing offspring that could also reproduce themselves? The timescale on the left is in millions of years. "Pan" is chimps and bonobos. "Pongo" is the orangutans.
