Actually Maher does have that right. It’s called free speech, and it’s a cornerstone of our civilization.

But for a moment let’s assume that Cross is right. Only Blacks can criticize other Blacks. Then logically only Whites can criticize other Whites. Only Californians can criticize other Californians. Only plumbers can criticize other plumbers.

Even Cross would have to see how silly - and stifling - that would be.
