If I were at these meetings, and finally permitted to speak, I would simply tell them that I know my place and my esteemed colleagues might have something to say later in the year.
So, I’ll wait.
Then I’d shut up.
I will point to the marginalized person in the room and say, “for the sake of equity, I prefer to have [fill in name] explain the use of timed waits to prevent mutex deadlocks in our multi-threaded design.”
No one can ask questions in these meetings.
