I was curious whether the Chinese virus/lockdown had affected the suicide rate in this age group; researching some stats it seems that the number 124 is fairly normal [alas] in the 10-20 age group.

Not just children but plenty of adults too. It was a constant issue in my area with a momentum of its own into 2021. Then there's all the folk who took damage or perished from lack of medical care due to cancelled appointments, closed offices or the over the top fear porn that dissuaded them from venturing out for help.
