"Zaddy" now means a mature, rich, attractive, desirable, put-together, masculine man.
"Zaddy" is Yiddish for "grandpa".
How "zaddy" got from "old Jewish grandpa" to what-it-is-today is something Sigmund Freud would have a lot to say about.

I’ve heard people talk about buying “merch” when they mean merchandise. And talk of “vacay”, when they mean vacation.
It makes me think some people are talking in text message abbreviations.
I’ve even heard someone say out loud, LOL, as they laughed at something.

A zaddy could pay, but doesn’t have to.
(I read into this a bit trying to figure out how the leap was made from “grandpa” to what-it-is, and really am not satisfied I know.)
