A man with a record of mental health issues was arrested Sunday for stealing a school bus and driving it across Washington state then stealing a front-end loader and crashing it into his own house in Chewelah. Saturday morning, Andrew Loudon, 39, was released from Western State Hospital in Lakewood and made his way to Leavenworth over two and a half hours away. He then allegedly stole a yellow school bus, drove it an hour and 40 minutes to Moses Lake, then abandoned the vehicle. He then hitchhiked through Spokane to Chewelah, where he stole a front-end loader and eventually crashed into his own home, while flipping a car into a nearby structure in the process. (SNIP) Chelan County Sheriff Brian Burnett said that Washington’s new police reform laws, which went into effect Sunday, prevented deputies from chasing down Loudon while he was fleeing from police.

You should’ve seen him before he was cured!

A man with a record of mental illness, wearing a yellow sundress, was honored today by the Washington State Democrat Party . . .

Did that guy steal the dress from the museum that has the Brady Bunch display? Heard their yellow dress is missing.

Could be a coincidence.

Yellow dress guy is about as tired of the constant B.S. as the rest of us. Someone just put the last straw upon his back and he said “no more”. (Just my take).

“A man with a long record of mental health issues ....”. Sure hear THAT a lot these days.

Who was termed “crazy” in the former simplified vernacular. We can’t say that no mo’.

Yeah, it’s fun to make jokes, “nice dress” and all, but the truth is, this guy ain’t very funny.

The reason we laugh (in part) I think is a kind of gallows humor, it is more we’re “laughing” at the legislatures and judiciary and others who have literally forced crazy people who cannot take care of themselves on the general public. They’ve mainstreamed mental illness, as a kind of civil right. Further, they’ve forced the cops to play Therapist, something they are not trained to do. The leftist answer to this? Naturally, it’s to give therapists guns, I guess. What could go wrong?

This guy could have just as easily killed a bunch of people. Like it or not, that’s why society used to keep unfortunate, tragic individuals like this locked up. For his own good, and society.

I was interested in the article to see that he ran an end loader “into his own house.” How did he get his “own house”?

It used to be axiomatic that “crazy people” were by definition unable to care for themselves - and by law, or at least medical custom, were not allowed to enter into binding contracts. Because ... they are nuts. They can’t take care of themselves. They are prone to being taken advantage of too. Things like ... owning a house. Or Voting. Guess what the leftists have done ... again.

It seems like the more I study history, it becomes clear that nobody learns from history. America is in a stage of “forgetting” a great many things that younger generations will have to re-learn at great expense, and “WTF were you thinking!?”

A passing circus, maybe. Especially if they were looking for a new bearded lady.

I remember the good old days when a man in a yellow sundress was an unusual sight.
