The American Medical Association (AMA) faced intense backlash late last week and over the weekend after calling for sex to be removed as a legal definition on the public part of birth certificates.
The backlash came in response to a tweet from WebMD that highlighted the call from the AMA.
WebMD’s report claimed:
Requiring it can lead to discrimination and unnecessary burden on individuals whose current gender identity does not align with their designation at birth, namely when they register for school or sports, adopt, get married, or request personal records.

I once went to see a new doctor. When filling out the forms, there was a long list of “pronouns” I had to pick from as to how I identify myself. I stopped right there. If a doctor is playing these games, then he’s not a doctor. He’s a politician.
I left.
If the AMA is playing these games, they need mental help.

Some transgender “man”’s actual sex wasn’t listed in her med record, so the staff missed that she was in labor, and her baby died. You made the right decision.

Study after study has shown that babies and young kids have NO PROBLEM figuring out their gender identity. It’s only after those kids are sent to public school that they start getting confused.
