The delta variant accounts for at least 93 percent of all sequenced coronavirus in the U.S., according to estimates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
For the two-week period ending July 31, all the different lineages of the delta variant made up about 93 percent of cases that were sequenced.
In some parts of the country with low vaccination rates, especially the Midwest region that includes Kansas, Iowa and Missouri, the percentages are even higher.

More importantly: how does the lethality compare to previous versions? No talk of lethality just existence which is functionally useless for decision making, but I repeat myself.
Exactly!
Well, we don’t.
If it were true though, it would be good news. This “variant” is much milder and should be replacing the original strain.
We know it’s BS, for sure. 🙂
How would they know?
Are they relying on the FAKE data from the CDC whose test cannot distinguish between the Common Every Day Flu and COVID-19?
Or they relying on the FAKE data from the hospitals who are ALSO relying on that same FAKE test to report their case numbers?
Or are they relying on the same hospital systems that purposefully lied about the numbers of deaths and cases so they could haul in a load of cash from the federal government?
Or, are the reporting false positive COVID-19 cases because they are purposefully abusing the PCR test with cycles of 30+ which leads to 80%+ false positive COVID-19 results?
If there is NO SPECIFIC TEST for the Delta variant, how can they tell? AN dhow can they get that SPECIFIC, 93%?......................
Another wild arsed guess. Same as always from CDC.
They aren’t testing all of these cases just as they never counted cases of H1N1 back in 2009/2010. Just settled on their middle guess between high estimate and low estimate.
There seems to be some confusion on FR about this lately. I assume the answer is that some percentage of positive (standard PCR samples) are collected in a statistically valid manner and subjected to full sequencing. Just because the regular PCR test does not discriminate does not mean that the variant cannot be determined via sequencing.
If it truly is a virus, that is. 🙂
CDC just makes it up
Was wondering that myself?
Last I heard there was no specific test for delta variant; they had sequence the whole thing!
They’re making all this stuff up and tweaking it as the politics dictates.
Variants are a way of explaining why the “vaccinated” are still getting the Wuhan flu.
The “vaccines” are working. They are a cure for Wuhan flu hysteria, not a vaccine for the flu. Hysteria sufferers who get the vaccine overcome their hysteria and drop their precautions thus get the flu and help reach herd immunity. The success of the vaccinations is measured by the number of vaccinated who get the flu.
No need to worry.
The hospitals there have had more than a year to prepare for any “surge.”
Everything should be fine.

LA County Reports Rise in COVID Cases at Highly Vaccinated Nursing Facilities">
"Skilled nursing facility staff and residents were among the first to be eligible for COVID-19 vaccinations. County officials said 86% of residents and 85% of staff are fully vaccinated. Masking and routine virus testing are also required."

93% of the tests that were “sequenced”
Which was how many nationwide?
Crickets
Not that it matters…delta is spreading immunity faster than Pfizer
And... Why do we care? It is a good thing. Weaker strain, more infections, more natural immunity.
