Now is the perfect time for China to invade Taiwan.
China believes the USA is slowly committing suicide, both at home and abroad. Leftists burning American cities with the support of the highest levels of American politicians made a big impression on them. No doubt some in China would like to invade Taiwan today, but China's policy will be to keep the pressure on Taiwan very high, and simply wait until the US is a non-factor, and they can walk in unmolested.
Think of all the American Citizens working in China that could be used as hostages.
