The Gray Lady's Arrogant Article about Northwest Arkansas
US Incorporated ^ | Aug. 17, 2021 | Allan Wall

A recent New York Times article exemplifies the arrogant, condescending attitude of the elite Mainstream Media toward Middle America.

Decline in Immigration Threatens Growth of Regions on the Rise is the name of the article, by Miriam Jordan.

If you want to raise your blood pressure, read it. The Growth-At-Any-Cost crowd says there must be rapid growth and sprawl powered by an unending flow of immigration.

Is this the future our elitists want for every American region?

I don’t even have to click.

EVERYTHING is political activism to the people at the NYT.

They want red places to turn blue through immigration. Plain and simple.

Many New Yorkers would love nothing more than to see “ flyover country “ turned into an overcrowded urban cesspool.

You know, like DiBlasio’s Manhattan.

Since there is no link, you couldn’t even if you needed to, or more importantly wanted to.

My wife’s sister lives in SW MO, very close to the AR border north WalMartville.

They have meat packing plants (Clinton’s crony Tyson).

Illegal Latinos displaced all the hilljacks working there.

Then imported Somalis displaced the Mexicans.

So you have these small towns with all the store signs in Spanish and Arabic...bizarre ...like something you’d expect in NYC.

An unanswered question might be, why are native born Americans not doing jobs in those meat packing plants?

We’ve been told for decades that illegal aliens are doing jobs that “Americans won’t do” or “Americans aren’t doing”. And based on that, we are told we should be liberal on illegal immigration issues.

NW Arkansas is just barely a light shade of purple.

We have been lied to for decades by Assistant Democrats in R jerseys while they intentionally import a permanent Democrat majority.

We would not vote to give up our country and subsume it to the UN in a New World Order so they are importing people who will.

Thank you for bringing this article to light. I would like to offer my own perspective on this.

I live in Bentonville, which is at the heart of NW Arkansas. I moved here 3 years ago from Pennsylvania and brought my straight-republican vote with me. I’m not libertarian and I’m also not a “Northeast “But” Republican” that I rail against constantly. You know the type.

I moved here for a start-up company that collapsed within 2 months of my arrival. Leaving me stranded far from home with no income I had to learn how things work in AR very quickly. This article is an ok one, but misses a few key elements.

First, lets get familiar with the area:
There are 5 major towns of consequence here. Each of these towns have their own claim to the fame here.
Bentonville is the home of Walmart. It’s also very small in terms of landarea and has expanded to neighboring Rogers. The wealth here is INSANE. There are more mansions here than anywhere I’ve visited or lived. There is also a problem with “New money” in the area where we find that residents who were once poor or middle class are now making loads of money suddenly with Walmart. They spend like drunk sailors. They also live sexually deviant lifestyles (I’m an uber driver, I see it all). Orgies and 3way sex are commonplace. Many couples advertise their wills on mundane facebook pages, such as parenting groups and local hang-out groups. Even in “for sale” groups. This is the safest town I have ever been in - There is no crime. At all. Finally, Bentonville has the investment of the Walton family to bring attractions that attract Californians, Chicagoans and Northeasterners. Art galleries, fine dining, and world-class biking trails that are impossible to beat. They also invest in the local infrastructure and have provided untold billions to the area for power, internet, water and waste management. This town is clean, clean, clean. Nice roads too.

Rogers is much larger but is also older. The homes here are within 100 years old and the people and wealth levels are within range of reason. In other words, the people are living in decent but old houses in mostly safe neighborhoods. Rogers is now expanding because Bentonville is literally out of space to build housing for Walmart.

I group these two towns together because they touch and basically melt into each other. Everything that happens in this town traces back to Walmart. The areas that the town keeps clean are where Walmart execs live. It all trickles down there from there. Finally, Walmart made a great local decision in the past (Albeit it’s no longer the case) that if you are a vendor, you MUST establish a brick-and-mortar office in these two towns with at least 6 people working in each office. Some companies like Hersheys and Clorox (There are plenty others) have built large buildings with more than 6, others like Kent Bicycles have bought tiny little places with minimal staff. Work here is widely available. There is no reason to be unemployed in Bentonville/Rogers.. even if you have no transportation whatsoever.

Next is Springdale. This is an old Arkansas town that houses J.B. Hunt and Tyson world headquarters. This town will hold NWAR together should Walmart ever go out of business. Their investment in local labor is outstanding. Tyson’s “protein enterprise” is everywhere and always available to take in new workers. This labor is low-paid and grueling (And disgusting, don’t get me wrong) but always has employees willing to do it. There are other chicken places here as well such as Simmons and Ozark Poultry. Springdale isn’t a particularly safe town with the usual-but-lesser amount of Arkansas meth/crack/gang crimes.

Fayetteville is the last city on this little tour. Fayetteville is the home of the University of Arkansas which enjoys heavy investment from the big 3 companies here. The city is beautiful and crime is less than you would think. Population is exploding here as the university accepts more and more students and cranks out more and more STEAM-types of degrees.

So that lays out the area a bit. The article is about people though. In terms of race, nationality and employment the author gets a few things wrong.

Bentonville/Rogers is VASTLY Indian. Bentonville is close to 50% Indian but their census ignores the fact that they are transient workers and not citizens. When walmart needs to hire they need to hire thousands of one position. And they simply don’t have thousands of local candidates all willing to code, create new technologies or logistic systems. They go to India. The Walmart headquarters (As of now.. they are building a massive campus as I type this) is a dumpy little brick cube in the middle of a dilapidated parking lot. Across the street is the 8 story “TATA Consultancy” building who import almost all of Walmart’s labor. The area up here belongs to the Indians. They are racist, dirty and mean. I say this not because of the color of their skin or the tone of their voice - I say this because they are fresh from India where culturally they learn these habits. They treat everyone around them poorly. They move here and make no attempt to integrate. They always remove their kids from the playgrounds when white kids show up.

Our hispanic community is no different than just about every southern or midwest region. Lots of Mexicans and Cubans here. Mexicans tend to find joy in their family and work while Cubans find joy in the fact that they aren’t living in Cuba. All love it here, and love the people. Rogers and Springdale are mostly spanish and there are lots of businesses you will find that don’t even speak english. Spanish is almost necessary to know in these two towns.

Our problem demographic are people from the Marshal Islands. The Marshallese were displaced basically because we irradiated them into oblivion. In the Marshal islands the parents have a philosophy of letting their neighbors raise the kids. The kids are completely feral. And it shows. Marshallese are very dangerous, violent criminals. Again, not the color of their skin - it’s the culture.

Finally I would like to discuss the gap between the transplants and the natives. The natives are restless, so to say and I can see why. I’m a transplant. The few people here who are native can remember a time when the expanding companies promised more work for the community, higher wages and more opportunity to expand talents and skills. What they were delivered was not what was promised.

They are watching the good paying jobs going immediately to people who don’t even live here. My wife was Real Estate here. The new hires for the good positions are hired in another state and move here afterwards. In other words, the jobs are gone before they are even offered.

Most of the work here is also unstable. Walmart will lay you off at any time regardless of how good you are. The Indians simply go home, pack their bag and get on a plane to go somewhere else. If you’re a native working for Walmart you WILL lose your job and not move to another area for another job. Indians do this quite well.

The article is accurate in one viewpoint but I would like to offer another. The author states that the Indians won’t integrate, which is true but this isn’t only the case with Indians. NWAR has a combination of cultures that have different viewpoints and the only winner in that debate is the wealthier one - The Waltons and their welcoming gestures to the liberals from chicago, California, New Jersey and India. They and We are all their wage-slaves and are traded about much the same.

If anyone here is in NW Arkansas please hit me up. I would love to meet up and establish a face-to-face FR presence in the area!

I would like to add that the educational opportunities here are unparalleled.
The public schools here are OK, for “publik skools”.
We have an abundance of charter schools here; take your pick of private schools. There’s more than you can count. We have one private school here, named after a local girl (Louise B. Thaden) who was a contemporary and friend of Amelia Earhardt. She missed her claim to fame by never getting lost. This school is the equal of many colleges.
But let me tell you about the school my granddaughter attends: it is called Founders Classical Academy, and its is entirely based on America’s Founding Fathers, and their love of the classics.
Before I tell you this next part, you’d better sit down.
Their HS graduating class of ‘21, averaged over ALL the graduates, were awarded over $142,000 apiece in scholarship money.
SRSLY!
