A newly revealed State Department memo has explosive news: It turns out that Biden had important information early on that could have led to a different outcome

During his interview with George Stephanopoulos, Biden reiterated his July 8 claim that he had no idea the Taliban would move so quickly. However, according to a Wall Street Journal article, the administration has known for over a month about the speed with which the Taliban were moving. There was time to get people out safely.

On July 2, the American military abandoned Bagram Airfield, the most important base of operations still in Afghanistan. They didn't inform the Afghans, and the State Department made no effort to get Americans and their allies out of Afghanistan before the military left.

The Wall Street Journal reports that, on July 13, twenty-three American staffers in the U.S. Embassy sent a classified cable warning that the Taliban were making rapid inroads:

The cable, sent via the State Department's confidential dissent channel, warned of rapid territorial gains by the Taliban and the subsequent collapse of Afghan security forces, and offered recommendations on ways to mitigate the crisis and speed up an evacuation, the two people said.

The signatories of the dissent channel cable urged the State Department to begin registering and collecting personal data in advance for all Afghans who qualify for Special Immigrant Visas, aimed at those who worked as translators or interpreters; locally employed embassy staff; and for those eligible for other U.S. refugee programs while there was still six weeks left before the withdrawal deadline.

It also urged the administration to begin evacuation flights no later than Aug. 1, the people said.

Secretary of state Blinken reviewed the cable. One day later, the White House announced that it had a program to evacuate eligible Afghans who had supported the U.S. along with their families, but it took another month for the program to start.

What we're left with is the fact that the Biden administration (although maybe not the military) knew that people needed to be evacuated ASAP — and instead made slow and minimal efforts to respond to that information. Trump's team had left a plan for just such exigencies, but the administration had trashed it in June.

Working in aviation maintenance for over 36 years the plan was ALWAYS to prepare for the worst case scenario.

Prepare for the worst and your Azz is covered.

The notion that all contingencies were prepared for is nothing short of a flat out lie.

I have been pondering this ridiculous mess since it began and
I suspect that this outcome is EXACTLY what the powers behind the throne want to happen.

They seem to want it so bad they are willing to take the huge popularity hit and trash the Biden regime’s reputation... only a few die-hards think this admin has any sense at all now...buyers remorse is setting in.

Leaving massive amounts of material and ordnance is obviously stupid and they could have destroyed most
of it even if they could not ship it out.

So for some reason this was desired...
Maybe it is a payoff to China?

Who got the money for the huge arms deal Biden pulled off by leaving all the military equipment that was left for the taking in the take over... this had to be planned because not even biden is that stupid to go off and leave all this for the enemy to just pick up and go to war.

This has to be the most outrageous military/political decision ever made. Why isn’t every Republican politician getting before the cameras and screaming about this? Democrats would be doing that if the shoe were on the other foot. Instead most people do not even know about it, just like so many other outrageous Dem actions. Except for the very few, the complicit party just sits back.

The Biden Administration knew in advance this would happen. It could have been prevented. Thus, the only logical explanation is they wanted it to happen.

Is this not treason, malfeasance and collusion with the enemy?

The notion that all contingencies were prepared for is nothing short of a flat out lie......

They probably did have a conplan for a NEO, but they pen and ink changed the AO from Bagram to Kabul making it unexecutable.

Then the taliban showed up and it became irrelevant.

I want to know who ordered the evacuation of Bagram AFB. Whomever it is needs to answer for this terrible folly.

In Biden’s defense, he probably doesn’t know what he ate for lunch yesterday...

The blame for this horror lies at the feet of the MSM - the ‘journalists’ who protected a senile old man because their hated or Trump and is supporters rotted their brains out.

Exactly correct. And how many military, State Department or political people signed off on abandoning Bagram. air base? I do not watch network news or CNN or MSNBC or Foxnews unless It is a short video here. So I wonder if any of them have even reported that the base’s abandonment occurred during the night, by turning off the lights and not even notifying Afghan military with the Afghan government.
