The Left's illusion of a Biden presidency has been shattered

Tony Blair’s condemnation of the withdrawal from Afghanistan – based, he wrote, upon an “imbecilic political slogan about ending the ‘forever wars’”, which just happens to be what Joe Biden ran on in 2020 – marks the complete transformation of elite perceptions of the Biden presidency. The establishment consensus, desperate to be rid of Donald Trump, was that the veteran Democrat would be a return to stability. Instead, the haunting scenes of chaos at Kabul airport have led to denunciation even by Left-wing admirers – by almost every faction in the foreign policy debate, in fact, from those who think we should stay to those who believe we should never have gone there.

The United States’ tawdry, hopelessly mishandled withdrawal matters to the entire Western community because it has grim humanitarian consequences, Islamists have gained a base of operations and our global competitors are emboldened.

Mr Biden says he inherited an agreement to leave from Mr Trump, and that delay would have meant a restoration of hostilities; Mr Trump counters that his deal came with conditions, and errors in implementation can certainly be laid at the present administration’s door. The intelligence regarding Taliban strength was wrong, though some did predict a speedy unravelling of Afghanistan’s erstwhile Potemkin administration, so Mr Biden might be excused that count. But why did he decide to push ahead with military withdrawal before guaranteeing all the civilians were out? Why leave behind mountains of supplies and equipment? And why not consult properly with America's international partners?

Mr Biden told allies in June that the US would retain enough of a security presence in Afghanistan to allow friendly countries to go on operating in Kabul, and after the crisis began, he dodged attempts by the UK Prime Minister to call him for around 36 hours

And yet we have a bunch of Assistant Democrats trying to get a win for him with the two monstrosity bills that have passed the Senate and are now in the House with 40 GOP House members lining up to assist if any Democrats get cold feet.

If Blair et al (including those DemonRats in the US propping up Illegitimate Joe) think it’s “bad” now, wait until the ‘10 days’ are up & the Taliban starts killing Americans.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

(h/t Conservative Treehouse) ... I’m kind of shocked twit has left this up - hard to listen to. More of this sort of communication(s) will be leaking out from sources other than the vermin MSM/Biden regime who are lying their @sses off about everything:

We just received this audio from an incredibly brave American in Kabul. She was attacked each time she tried to reach the airport. Despite the danger to herself, she wants us to share this. We must guarantee the safety of Americans and our allies before it is too late.

Biden "inherited" a great many things from Trump. In my opinion, most of them were good. The wall, the oil production, the tough trade deals, and the conditioned withdrawal from Afghanistan, to name just a few.

Joe had no hesitation in throwing just about all of it in the dumpster. He wasn't bound to it. As president, he calls his own shots. But, the Afghanistan retreat turns into a debacle?? Well, that's Trump's fault ... there was nothing Joe could do ...

True, but if we got either one of those, America will have found the proverbial bottom and the only way left is up. No matter what, all the options suck until the midterms.

While blair is correct in labeling bunglin’ biden an imbecile, blair is way off base by demanding an infinite military presence in shi*hole countries like afghanistan.

I don't think conservatives are winning much these days. Just sitting on the sidelines watching the death spiral take place.

But hey, they've got their job (until the jab mandate bites them), their investment accounts (until the DEMs decide it's *their* money), and their peaceful house in the suburbs (until the terrorist wings of the DEM decide to descend on them, with the help of local police, federal agents, and the military).

It will be a non-stop Trump blame game. Leftists never accept truth. If they did, they would be forced to change their world view and they are programmed never to do that.

So, the quickest route to restoring sanity is to force Biden's immediate resignation. Harris gets sworn in, yes, but she isn't even eligible much less capable, and it doesn't even seem she wants the job. Step 2 is that Congress must approve a new Vice President. Tough negotiations should ensue to make sure this isn't some “woke” fool, but a sober-minded, responsible person. I would suggest someone outside of politics and the whole “woke” cult. Can we find somebody that would be acceptable? In any case, I don't think Harris would last long either.

No it hasn’t. The Left has one goal: the permanent transformation of America. And bringing in hundreds of thousands of Afghan refugees will certainly help towards that.

The Afghanistan stories will fade with time, but the Afghans being brought here will be the ‘gift that keeps on giving’.

In other words, all the world's smartest people have proven themselves to be wrong and utter fools.

Congrats morons!

They all found Trump distasteful - so they ignored the corruption and senility of JB to hope for a return to business as usual: the USA pays for almost everything and asks for nothing while its citizens slowly sink into the muck but will be saved by The Great Reset in which a few have everything and the rest of us have nothing.
