Herschel is a great guy. Very likable. But I don’t believe he’s got what it takes to be an effective senator. I guess if we’re just looking for someone with an R behind his name he’s better than the democrats.

I disagree to him not being a good CANDIDATE! His looks and demeanor are a good skill set for the election so long as he does not get caught in stupid human tricks WHICH a hostile MSM will do their LEFTist Best!
But I tend to agree that his life story worries me as an actual US Senator. However, the usual problem in running against an incumbent is a candidate that can pull in good publicity. Who else in the Georgia GOP is better at being both a candidate AND Senator?

Many GOP Senators have multiple personality disorders. They campaign as conservatives and govern as progressive-corportists.
Then you have cases of mental illness like Senator Shelby campaigning for progressive Democrat Doug Jones with Obamacare repeal in the balance. Jones won and repeal failed.
