All US service members must get their Covid-19 vaccine as soon as possible now that the Pfizer-BioNTech jab is fully approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
More than 800,000 service members out of around 1.4 million still need to get their shots, according to Pentagon data.
Those who haven't gotten a shot face a wide range of punishments if they don't, from sitting down with a doctor to have the 'risks' of refusing explained all the way up to a court martial.
Military law experts say it is possible that a service member who refuses could be dishonorably discharged, but most will likely face a far less significant punishment.
Service members are already required to get up to 17 different vaccines, depending on where in the world they are stationed, including jabs for measles, mumps, diphtheria, hepatitis, smallpox and the flu.
Of active duty forces, 68 percent are fully vaccinated and 76 percent have at least one dose, according to Pentagon press secretary John Kirby. Data is less clear for reserve and National Guard members.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin directed commanders to impose an 'ambitious timelines for implementation' and to provide regular updates on vaccination.
The Army has the lowest vaccination rate, where 40% are fully vaccinated and 57% have one dose. The Navy has the highest, where 73% are fully vaxxed and 79% have at least one dose.
Kirby said the goal was to get the force inoculated 'as soon as possible' but did not lay out a timeline.

That’s exactly what they want to happen. Reduces the military substantially, just as China has requested from their proxy.

Pfizer completes one six month study, and the vaccine is approved shortly afterward. At the same time, that study suggests there are serious adverse effects, like those found on the U.S. and European VERS system. So after the study is out and the vaccine is approved, now it is OK to talk about the risks, when it will no affect the policy. When we all know the discussion of the risks should have happened before approval.
This reminds me of the Jan 6 riots and the aftermath. As more got revealed, the more it became obvious congress knew in advance and did nothing, it was ANTIFA that attacked, and the impeachment was a fraud. This all creates a building sense of powerlessness over our lives, and fear of consequences if we don't join the herd heading toward a cliff. Because if we don't join the herd, we are the first to the slaughterhouse.
1984 was kind compared to this.
if all refuse the immoral order. biden will have to tuck tail again and run. he can’t court martial 1000, let alone 800,000. the question is do they have the courage to stand firm.
Because this worked so well for the Swine Flu and Anthrax vaccines.
I would force the court martial.

My daughter is on a ROTC scholarship. We are still waiting to hear if this will include her too. It’s going to be a tough choice to take the shot or loss her scholarship.
Our only hope is that they are allowing for religious exemptions. Although, I have no idea what the criteria is going to be.
However, she has never taken any vaccines, as she has always had a religious exemption all through school. So, that might help, since it shows it’s not just about the Covid Vaccine.
Wonder who the 800k voted for.
