Why all the fuss about Ivermectin?
American Thinker.com ^ | September 3, 2021 | Brian C. Joondeph

First hydroxychloroquine, now ivermectin, is the hated deadly drug de jour, castigated by the medical establishment and regulatory authorities. Both drugs have been around for a long time as FDA-approved prescription medications. Yet now we are told they are as deadly as arsenic.

As a physician, I am certainly aware of ivermectin but don’t recall ever writing a prescription for it in my 30+ years’ medical career. Ivermectin is an anthelmintic, meaning it cures parasitic infections. In my world of ophthalmology, it is used on occasion for rare parasitic or worm infections in the eye.

Ivermectin was FDA approved in 1998 under brand name Stromectol, produced by pharmaceutical giant Merck, approved for several parasitic infections. The product label described it having a “unique mode of action,” which “leads to an increase in the permeability of the cell membrane to chloride ions.” This suggests that ivermectin acts as an ionophore, making cell membranes permeable to ions that enter the cell for therapeutic effect.

Ivermectin is one of several ionophores, others including hydroxychloroquine, quercetin, and resveratrol, the latter two available over the counter. These ionophores simply open a cellular door, allowing zinc to enter the cell, where it then interferes with viral replication, providing potential therapeutic benefit in viral and other infections.

This scientific paper reviews and references other studies demonstrating antibacterial, antiviral, and anticancer properties of ivermectin. This explains the interest in this drug as having potential use in treating COVID.

There is no money in HCQ, Quercetin, or Ivermectin for the Faux-Chi and his cabal.

In a report yesterday on CNBC, discussing Joe Rogan’s position on Covid (Joe is taking Ivermectin), they said he was taking “a drug commonly used to treat parasites in livestock”, without mentioning the word “Ivermectin”. A classic example of using the editorial power in so-called “reporting” to create an attitude about something while giving only part of the story.

Worse, an effective treatment removes the pretense for the EUA. Now you're talking big, big bucks.

CV19 has to last at least through the mid-term elections.
There has to be a reason to continue the ‘rats extreme liberalized, mail-in, harvesting, extended elections.

When FDA approved medications are used in appropriate doses for appropriate patients, prescribed by competent physicians, the risks tend to be low, and any benefit should be celebrated. Instead, the medical establishment, media, and regulatory authorities are taking the opposite approach. One has to wonder why.

One has to wonder why? Really? I mean. . .really? Heh LOOOEEWW

If hydroxychloroquine, ivermectin, and zinc are effective, then folks don’t need to get the deep state clot shot.

The last ‘alternative treatment’ on the shelf, Ivermectin is the alamo, Custer’s last stand, the hail mary and Great White Pill (or paste) Hope for the pandemic pied pipers to push monitized clicks, and the vaccine rebels who want to stick it to the man or prove the man wrong on vaccines.

Now that it’s off the table, there’s nothing else on the shelf to peddle. Only experimentals like monoclonals, regeneron and Sotrovimab, a very short lasting fix that doesn’t don’t prevent reinfection.

Rogan recovered because he got monoclonals.

parasites have already started to build a resistance to ivermectin. Resistance can be caused by not following through on a second dose, wrong dosing, or exposure (in third world nations) to animal-contaminated water sources. One can speculate if Covid might also build a resistance from indiscriminate use of ivermectin.

Seem like we can’t use any medication other than the vaccine as the US is a giant Petri dish for the mass experiment against COVID. The use of other medicines would skew the results.

A doctor recently lamented to me that the practice of medicine has become so political that most doctors can’t treat their patients the way they know is in the patients’ best interest. They are rather submitting to their political masters.

Who knows. A neighbor used it and took care of her husband and child with Covid and she never got it.

I was with my son and girlfriend in a car for an hour. I use Ivermectin, but I also was wearing an N95 mask. The girlfriend had symptoms the following morning and my son the next day and they tested positive. They are doing okay (they are young) but pretty tired, worn out and aching (10 days now).

I had a scratchy throat and got tested - negative. There were TONS of folks at the testing center. I think there is a regular cold going around in our area. 3 months ago when I went to get tested before a trip there were 3 cars in line. Last week it was 1.5 hours to get through!

So - it was either my N95 mask, the ivermectin and vitamins, or I’m one of the 80% of folks that aren’t susceptible to Covid.

I ran up with ivermectin and vitamins and other stuff as soon as I found out. I figured I can at least offer it to them even if they think I’m nuts.

I heard they didn’t use any of it.

Well - at first.

My son, still feeling crappy on day 10, started taking it.

It is better to be on it before, or at least right after getting Covid. I’m hoping that his youth and strong body will still give the medicine time to work so he isn’t sick for too long or too bad.
