Bump for later!
Hoarding by gun owners? What is “hoarding”?
I think the true hoarding is the internet crooks like cheaperthandirt who bought the huge lots and now trickle it out.
Don’t you need SNAPCAPS for Dry Firing?
Cheaperthandirt is the WORST gougers of all the online ammo sales outfits. I use to be a frequent buyer but in Covid they showed themselves as unethical dirtbags. Avoid them.
and meanwhile some states have gone so far as to restrict ammunition purchases
Californication uses the US Constitution for toilet paper
My brother is excellent with the bow. Thing is even arrow are quite expensive.
The left is causing ammo hoarding with it’s anti-gun policies. I got most of my ammo pre-Obama and filled it out nicely when Trump became President. When you need ammo and all you can do is dry fire you are in a world of hurt.
p
I got the iTarget system, and it is about $70 IIRC.
You order according to caliber of the weapon you want to practice with, they send you a “round” that you insert into the chamber, and when you fire, it shoots a laser beam at the target on your computer tablet.
The program registers where you hit.
It is a lot of fun, and costs nothing once you buy the round. It helps with the sighting, trigger pull, draw mechanics and overall handling.
I really like it.
One can also use the lasers that are built into something the exact size as your firearm’s chamber. Using that to sight in a rifle is a huge ammo saver.
Reasonably priced ammo is all over the place. Use Ammoseek to find it.
Just ordered. $90 with 10% discount. Looks like a lot of fun:-)
I think you will like it...it has made me far more comfortable in all those things. It is like playing a video game...albeit with a real firearm!
I did it the length of my house, but...it meant people had to ask permission to walk down the hallway, so I do it in my garage now, which is about a third of the distance...:(
Except for 30-30 Winchester. Yikes.
Another vote for iTarget from a certified firearms instructor.
Get it and practice when you feel like it. It is also the best way to teach kids shooting.
It will 100% improve your accuracy and speed and the cost is minimal. It pays for itself quickly and saves a ton of money every day after.
For those who conceal or open carry practice your draw and sight acquisition!
For some weapons, not for others. Read the manuals for the ones you want to use that way.
Arrows can be made by hand, just like they were thousands of years ago. Be careful making them for high draw weight bows.
Can we buy Ammo from the Taliban?
I hear they have a surplus of it.
Rumors are that Ammo is not going to be coming back.
One company makes it. One company with a BOD that can be come hostile very quickly.
