The Food and Drug Administration says it has ruled on whether some e-cigarette products can remain on the market, but that it's also delaying action on products made by Juul, which accounts for 40% of the e-cigarette market.
The FDA said Thursday that it has issued marketing denial orders for more than 946,000 flavored vaping products because their applications "lacked sufficient evidence that they have a benefit to adult smokers sufficient to overcome the public health threat posed by the well-documented, alarming levels of youth use of such products."

Juul's business model has screwed them over. They're like HP with color cartridges: you have to get a prefilled "pod" to use the product. That's an Achilles' heel for FDA strangulation.
Minnesota charges a tax of 95% of the wholesale cost on e-cigarettes and e-juice which contains nicotine.

I saw something on TV during the lockdown that in the UK they were initially against vape products, but determined that it would be better to encourage current tobacco smokers to switch to vaping.
Can’t say for sure if that is official UK health policy, because I was drunk when I watched it.
