I understand the irritation people have expressed with Powell for her use of "The Kraken" as an overheated term which could be exploited by those wishing to make this go away, but I see that as rationale to discount what she has done and is trying to do as throwing out the baby with the bath water.
We can agree that her characterization may have been unwise, but it is far more unwise to condemn someone who spent her time, effort, personal capital, and professional reputation to help right what is clearly a wrong.
I think we should all keep that in mind.
She is on OUR side, and she CLEARLY understands the root of wrongdoing here.
I can see that my conclusions differ with some, but I don't have any doubt that this treatment of General Flynn was a politically motivated hit job, from the highest levels of government up to and including the President at the time (Barack Obama) and involved the full power of leveraged federal government agencies, including but not limited to the CIA, FBI, DOJ, DOD, and others.
My defense of Flynn (and ultimately, of Powell) does not excuse any missteps they have taken, but what it does for me is to allow me to be more understanding and forgiving of those mistakes. (Mistakes such as Flynn pleading guilty to save his family (son with a newborn at the time) from the weaponized government, and Powell characterizing the election evidence she has seen as "The Kraken" which many regard as hyperbolic...with what I have seen, it is a loaded term, but I find it hard to characterize what she refers to as "The Kraken" as "hyperbolic". In a normal functioning America, most normal people should have responded the same way she did.)

It was laziness, and my blind adherence to the code of the chain of command and punishment to those who violate it.
As time went on, I considered it my duty as a citizen to understand this abuse of power, and in looking at the available information and the progression of events, to have the perpetrators and drivers of this terrible national crime unpunished and to see an innocent Patriot be broken on the wheel of government injustice and persecution would have been a black mark on our nation. Even though General Flynn has been released from this vice of injustice, it will still be a black mark if the people who perpetrated this go scot free, as it appears they will.
One thing I have discovered it, many of these links (even from those such as The Washington Post, New York Times, and others) have become dead end links.
If there is one thing I have learned for certain in the past five years or so, is that there are few coincidences. I see these slowly decaying links as less the march of time, and more an orchestrated effort to obfuscate the story, with the willing participation of the Media and Big Tech.
If you have a mind that has not been closed to facts by the people who wish it to be closed to facts, I suggest you download and save the document. It touches not only on events linked to the illegal and immoral Flynn Persecution directly, but includes events that significantly bear upon it.

I submit that Powell’s biggest case was defending the guilty side of the Enron scandal. She wrote a book about it that glorified a subsequently proven corrupt, leftist judge.
She submitted some infamously unpolished and ineffective legal filings that did not help Trump at all. Her closest known collaborators re: the election included Lin Wood, Mike Flynn, and Patrick Byrne—the China-trained, admittedly repeat FBI informant with a mountain of improbable stories who has been in trouble with the law, was the cutout for a sketchy online apparent front/money laundering company, who has had Warrent Buffet as his longtime mentor.
As to Flynn, he seems pretty darned Deep State compromised from his dealings with questionable foreign governments while presenting himself as a great patriot lifelong Democrat.
My jury is more deliberative and it is still out.

Thank you-being able to engage in rational and civil discourse with people that enables all of us (including me) to more clearly understand complicated issues is why I came back again and again after all these years.
I have had my mind changed from my preconceived and occasionally ignorant notions, and have been grateful for it-if I can help others as I have been helped…all the better.
Like I said, I’ve never read anything written by a Wood on this subject.. I followed local stories on it myself because I live in Georgia so it was of interest to me. Everyone around here locally was talking about it and on Free Republic.

I gave a timeline of events. I gave you proof that Sullivan was the only criminal investigator at that location. That the location dealt with Harrison Deal and that his body was released from the GBI crime lab to the funeral home.

And “The GBI stated on Twitter that none of their agents or regional investigative offices are involved in Deal’s death investigation”
So was the Statesboro newspaper lying on December 7 or the Savannah paper lying on December 14? I can tell you which newspaper is NOT conservative.

Well written. As an aside, while certain attorneys handling the election lawsuits have been ridiculed and called out, I respect them all because they fought hard for us. Some on their own dime.

Though I appreciate the effort you put into it, no defense of Flynn or Powell is needed, in my view.
I think the praise from the Administration for General Milley proves that any “concern” about General Flynn’s phone call with the Russian envoy was simply Deep State prevarication. Milley’s treatment has completely vindicated General Flynn.
Thank you. I put together that timeline not generally in defense of either Flynn or Powell, but because not having a better grasp of the chain of events was creating a real intellectual problem for me, that of determining what is closest to the truth.
For me, looking at all the events leading up to that infamous White House meeting on 1/5/2017 where all the big guns were there and they were discussing what to do about Flynn sealed it for me.

And that is the key-say what you will about Sidney Powell, she got off her butt and got involved on her own dime with her own personal reputation.
It saddens me to see ostensible conservatives (who don’t have a fraction of her guts or intellectual capacity) take cheap shots at her.
I would be fine if they disagreed with her style or approach and did so in a civil manner, but many see fit to slander her, often personally and with a good degree of ridicule thrown in.
I am a hot head in person with a pretty short and unpredictable fuse and I occasionally get in a bind because of that weakness, as much as I fight it (with varying degrees of success)
Writing is a bit of an alternative route for me, since it is easier to take a deep breath.
I sometimes think there are people for whom the exact opposite is true. For those people, if confronted face-to-face, they would be (on the surface) somewhat agreeable and meek, but behind a keyboard, they feel license to be aggressive and abusive.
I strive hard to be consistent and speak to people from behind my keyboard as I would try to do in a face to face discussion. With the occasional thing I have written on this very forum in the last 17 years that might be hard for some people to believe, because I have indeed been uncivil. But, if someone gets my dander up in a face-to-face, I have the potential to boil over in an instant into a disagreeable state. I don’t like that in myself, and try to do better.
I fail occasionally, but I do try to pick myself up, mend fences where I can, and do better.
I agree. I don’t understand tearing down those who are on our side. One of the things that irked me too were the “conservative” attorneys that were judging them, saying how things should be done. But they didn’t do anything. NONE of those guys filed a lawsuit. Go figure.
I opt to admit upon hearing about the ‘accident,’ my first, second, and THIRD thought was, “this is an example.”
She said it in a court filing in defense against a libel suit. It’s standard language.
You can’t sue someone for what they allege in a lawsuit, when court refuses to allow to be resolved in court on technical grounds.
