A federal judge on Friday ruled that a Cincinnati, Ohio-area healthcare provider could require its employees get vaccinated against COVID-19 or risk losing their job, in what appears to be the first ruling of its kind for a private employer in the United States.
The employees of St. Elizabeth Healthcare failed to establish that their individual liberties were being violated by the vaccine requirement of the hospital operator, which has the right to set employment terms, said U.S. District Judge David Bunning in Covington, Kentucky.
St. Elizabeth employees must get vaccinated by Oct. 1. The widespread availability of vaccines in the United States helped to reduce infections in the spring and early summer but the Delta variant has led to a new spike in cases and hospitalizations.
Alan Statman, who represented the employees, said they were evaluating their next steps.
Bunning's ruling is the first involving a request for an injunction against a private employer's COVID-19 vaccine mandate, said Mark Guilfoyle, a lawyer who represented St. Elizabeth.

Then why are CDC, WHITEHOUSE and CONGRESS Exempt from mandate???

I still wonder why folks are not saying, "Okay, I'll take the approved vaccine once it is available." since that would be good immediate response since the only vaccines available are the experimental ones. Is the judge now saying that they must take the experimental vaccine?
My nurse son-in-law, just put in his 2 week notice due to the vaxx requirement.
First applied for personal time off, with the idea this may blow over... though allowed in the employee handbook, they denied it and said, “if you don’t show up saturday, we will consider that you resigned.”
No negotiation on how much time, etc. Just a hard line to a long-term employee.
Fortunately, he had started an electronics reselling business last year, so he put in his notice.
We know where this is going.

Translation: judge can’t understand why forcing experimental and ineffective treatments on people would be bad.
It’s at least the second time, that jerk judge in Houston already ruled that Houston Methodist could fire all their nurses (and subsequently claim they all quit due to the strain from COVID.)
And there have been one or two cases where there was a ruling against vax mandated.
(We do need a scoreboard to at least keep up with the tyranny of the many omnipotent judges in America!)
I am thinking that we need the following amendment:
Any law or rule that is enforceable against the People, or a citizen, shall be equally enforceable against the members of Congress, the Judiciary, and the Officers of the United States.

When I pushed him on the vaccine he wanted me to get, my doctor admitted, Yeah, there’s a lot of politics, but people who are vaccinated are having an easier time getting over the Delta variant. I asked how many of the 60 people in our hospital had been “fully” vaccinated, he hesitated, and glanced off to the side before answering “about five percent.” His body language told me he was either lying about the percentage, or he didn’t know and sensed he was losing me.
If long term data shows vaccines are dangerous or do nothing, there are plenty of lamp posts and rope for the enforcers so eager to play politics with our Healthcare.
FWIW ... David Bunning is the same Federal judge who jailed county clerk Kim Davis over her refusal to sign any “same sex marriage” certificates a few years ago.
The other thing they are setting up is that there will be no workmen’s comp or disability when the jab starts to make people sick or even kill them. It will be written off to “natural causes”.
This is all sick and demonic to the limits.
Sure wish I were someone who could give saline injections and call it a vaccination.
This should be news! I was looking for confirmation that the CDC has still not required employees and contractors to take the vaccines, what percent have, etc. Couldn't find any info at all. A news black out.
I think I saw that Congress is still leaving it up to members to decide what to do?
And the White House, haven't seen anything much either.
I got rid of a twenty something orthopedist who was trying to push the vaccine on me (I am stb 61). I was there because I had a torn rotator cuff from an auto accident.
He also kept denying that I could tear my RC in an auto accident. I went to an older. more experienced doctor who immediately did an MRI and saw several tears which I needed surgery for.
The fact that even needs to be stated shows how far we’ve fallen.
and there will be no unemployment insurance for those who get the boot due to not taking the clot shot.
