Seems to me like many, many others should also have a basis for such a suit.
Facebook does not have the ‘right’ to cut you off when it’s claiming to just be a platform and not a publisher. Its section 230 protections need to evaporate. Fakebook wants its cake and to eat it too. JMHO.

I always surmise openly that all we have to do is collectively dump Facebook. A friend today told me that the only way to get her town news is through Facebook which includes the municipal information,police and events. She also added that schools use Facebook as their website. America gave their lives to scumbag Zuckerberg and the other tech tyrants.

I think I heard that Stossel is from my home town, Chicago Heights, Illinois. Not absolutely sure, but I wonder if that is true, and that information brought up a whole bunch of memories and anecdotes about the “Heights”.
When I get nostalgic, I visit my old hometown... on Google Earth, and sometimes I can virtually walk the streets I knew as a kid. Almost nothing is the same, but some places are still as they were, and it is always interesting to see them again. I recommend such a virtual tour of your home town, college town, etc. if you haven’t tried it yet.
Any amount Stossel can realistically get from Facebook will be a mosquito bite to them. But at least he’s trying. Real legislation is needed to deal with the digital information monopoly established by Facebook, Google and Amazon Web Services, but with BigTech firmly on the side of the Democrats and with the Republicans mostly tech-ignorant dunces, that’s not going to happen.

Facebook went from private equity to publicly traded over ten years ago.
Shareholders own Facebook. Because it has access to the markets it is also subject to regulation.
Officers have a legal duty to protect the financial interest of the shareholders and cannot legally use the company’s assets for their own personal political agendas.
Doing so should be treated just like theft and embezzlement.
