A Moderate is defined by their votes.
So far, she’s a moderate.
Using the ACU ratings as an example, she’s a click to the right of the ultra-far left, meaning instead of 100% leftist, she’s an 87% leftist. That’s still not a “moderate”, that would be within sight of 35-50% Conservative. Even Manchin really isn’t one, getting a paltry 26% in 2020. The two most “Conservative” Democrats in the House in 2020, which were Collin Peterson (MN) and Ben McAdams (UT), both got a 19% and an 18% rating, still on the leftist fringe. Both were also defeated for reelection.
For another AZ example: Sen. Dennis DeConcini got a 34% lifetime Conservative rating from the ACU. On one occasion, he voted as high as 60% in 1982 (a reelection year, of course), though with the ascent of the ultraleftists demanding lock-step votes, his record went from sensible to loon by his last term, 45% in 1991 to just 4% in 1994. Even at that, he’d be WAY too far to the right to get nominated today.
But, in any event, even Sinema’s 86% leftist rating isn’t sufficient for the moonbat base. Moderate ? No. Her option will be to switch parties or to out-left the moonbats by 2024, but I suspect they’ll neither forgive nor forget her apostasy against this beyond-obscene spending bill.
If Sinema truly ran into trouble getting renominated, she could try to pull a Lieberman: become an Independent but still caucus with the Dems. Though it might not work as well if it turns out the bulk of the Dem vote goes with whoever the Dems nominate and the Republican vote largely stays with the GOP nominee.
The difference is that “Lucy van Pelt” Lieberman managed to sucker “Charlie Brown” CT Republicans into supporting him for one last term over ultra-Stalinazi Red Ned Lamont, despite the fact he had a nearly 99% leftist rating and gave them absolutely nothing in return.
If she runs as an Indy while maintaining her mostly-leftist (87%) rating with the Dems running an even more pure Stalinazi loon, that just guarantees any Republican with a pulse wins.
Bla, bla, blahhhhhhhhhhhh...

You know as well as I do it’s not the total number of bills but the perception on WHAT bills she supports and doesn’t.
And I’m telling you as an Arizonian, she is NOT perceived here as a far leftist, and quite the contrary, she is viewed as a “DemoKKKrat we can work with” who is no less preferable than McTurd.
Perceptions are everything.
