A fiercely devoted Florida mom was thrown in jail because she refused to leave her daughter’s bedside in the hospital — and she’s “not sorry that I made them take me out of there in handcuffs.”
Lynn Savage, 70, was taken into custody on trespassing charges after she wouldn’t comply with visiting hours while her daughter, Amber, was recovering from brain surgery at UF Health North in Jacksonville, news station WKRC reported.
“I could not in good conscience and good heart leave her bedside not knowing how she was going to make it through the night voluntarily,” Savage told the outlet.
Savage said she had been at the hospital that day since 6:30 a.m. acting as an interpreter for her daughter, who is non-verbal and paralyzed on her left side from a stroke.

“Trespassing”?! I don’t know how these a-holes live with themselves after doing such a thing.
Just tyranny by the weak minded.
I believe that one out of 5 people are fascist control freaks. This is carefully hidden unless they achieve a position of power. Such people will always abuse that power. Covid is merely one excuse amongst many.
So now they use “trespassing” as a handy, all purpose fake charge to throw people in jail who are not committing a crime.
If you haven’t done anything wrong, they’ll get you on that.

Nope it is to keep you from seeing what the "oh so caring" hospital staff is doing to your loved one.
Like leaving them in their own poop until morning so they get horrible bed sores.
That is how you can tell a good hospital.
The good ones let you stay.
If they do not then they are trying to prevent you from seeing their incompetence.
I would think that the needs of a disabled person would over turn covid rules. This probably breaks the ADA in several ways.

If everybody is wearing their magic masks in the hospital, there should no ZERO covid in the hospital right????
Law. Medicine. Politics. Education. Professions where poor results are tolerated or even expected. What better than Mental Health? You can kill patients with impunity.
When my dad was hospitalized last year the rules said that only one family member was allowed to visit and we all had to be out by six.
But because this was a good hospital they let either my mom or me stay with him at all times.
They just reset the official visitor every 12 hours.
The daughter is pretty young for a stroke that severe.
Probably vaxx clotting. It’s a real thing. I take 2 aspirin 4x a day. Also helps prevent Covid sickness I’m now hearing.
Send a state police officer to stand guard with the daughter and rotate shifts. Lets see the hospital throw them out!
