I’m sure some are serious but most just see it as a way to avoid class.
“I’ll get the day off? Hell Yes I’m protesting!”
I think the kids these days have been schooled to be protesters.
I don’t know on this one...if young women we being raped in the restrooms of your high school and the administration was more afraid of the trannies than safety of the remainder of the students—that might have gotten me out on the street.
That was before I committed the sin of accepting an Army ROTC scholarship. He said to my face how “disappointed he was in me.” He didn’t like my response: I laughed in his face. I had the most valuable scholarship in my graduating class of over 550: 4 year full ride to any school in the country that had Army ROTC. I matriculated at Gonzaga and never looked back, graduating in 4 years with no debt, and my parents didn’t have to pay a dime.
Truth be told, my experiences in the Army were as valuable, if not more so than my Gonzaga experience, 4 years in Germany, getting the opportunity to live “on the economy”, learning to speak the language, etc. Of course, the experience I gained as a young officer was priceless.
