Attorney General Merrick Garland declined to pull back a memo directing the FBI to help local police address reported harassment, intimidation and threats of violence against educators and school board members under questioning from Sen. Mike Lee on Wednesday.

The Utah Republican pointed out that the National School Boards Association has apologized for a letter to President Joe Biden last month...

“Will you rescind your letter?” Lee asked Garland during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing....

...Lee said he and his staff went through every news source mentioned in the school board association’s letter.

“There was no explicit death threat and I reiterate my concern that ....

Making “annoying phone calls” to school board members was considered “domestic terrorism.”

Sen Kennedy: “Garland is just the vessel. The NSBA colluded with Biden and White House handlers to craft the letter, then sent it to Merrick Garland and told Garland to sic the FBI on parents and call them dangerous domestic terrorists.”

BOTTOM LINE
<><> Labeling parents domestic terrorists is coming out of the White House
<><> the NSBA sent out a scurrilous letter they later had to withdraw
<><> Lefty school board members got tired of parents asking them about teaching CRT
<><> school boards wanted a way to rein in parents.

Can you say backfire?

” The NSBA colluded with Biden and White House handlers to craft the letter . . .”

As I said on a separate thread, for all intents and purposes the administration simply used the NSBA to “launder” the regime’s clear attempt to marginalize anyone on the right as a domestic terrorist.

It all boils down to trying to legitimize using deadly force against dissent.

Sen. Ted Cruz was much more forceful and totally eviscerated Garland in this same session. https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/4007443/posts

Ted was dynamic and didn’t give an inch...he hammered. Ted is in his element right where he is. Too bad other republicans don’t care to stick their necks out even a little.

Oh. My. Gosh. I go back and forth on Ted Cruz. Sometimes I’m a fan, and sometimes I’m cringing. But, man, oh man, oh Manischewitz. Ted was on fire there. This was one of his finest hours.

We can only hope its a backfire. After reading sourc3 documents for the scopes trial, i can say their strategy worked a long time. Is it over now that girls are getting raped in school bathrooms. Sadly, for every one or two we know about, how many more.

Garland is the domestic terrorist. He’s Obungboy’s puppet, and doing his evil bidding. He should be jailed.

“It [the memo] all boils down to trying to legitimize using deadly force against dissent.”

Here’s the entire memo:

“In recent months, there has been a disturbing spike in harassment, intimidation, and
threats of violence against school administrators, board members, teachers, and staff who
participate in the vital work of running our nation’s public schools.

While spirited debate about
policy matters is protected under our Constitution, that protection does not extend to threats of
violence or efforts to intimidate individuals based on their views.

Threats against public servants are not only illegal, they run counter to our nation’s core
values.

Those who dedicate their time and energy to ensuring that our children receive a proper
education in a safe environment deserve to be able to do their work without fear for their safety.

The Department takes these incidents seriously and is committed to using its authority
and resources to discourage these threats, identify them when they occur, and prosecute them
when appropriate.

In the coming days, the Department will announce a series of measures
designed to address the rise in criminal conduct directed toward school personnel.

Coordination and partnership with local law enforcement is critical to implementing these
measures for the benefit of our nation’s nearly 14,000 public school districts.

To this end, I am
directing the Federal Bureau of Investigation, working with each United States Attorney, to
convene meetings with federal, state, local, Tribal, and territorial leaders in each federal judicial
district within 30 days of the issuance of this memorandum.

These meetings will facilitate the
discussion of strategies for addressing threats against school administrators, board members,
teachers, and staff, and will open dedicated lines of communication for threat reporting,
assessment, and response.

The Department is steadfast in its commitment to protect all people in the United States
from violence, threats of violence, and other forms of intimidation arid harassment”

You are right and I watched and loved every minute of Cruz {9:30 minutes}, BUT, it was all sound and fury, signifying nothing.

What came of it?

Who watched it?

Will the dojfbi change anything that they are doing?

I stopped watching almost all political stuff because it does nothing but frustrate me.

I know we are right, but so what?

The great American sheep and lemming herd, runs straight toward the cliff.

Garland is a vindicative left wing loser

His demeanor clearly shows he was unfit for the AG job and totally unfit for the supreme Court. Garland is but yet another party hack with aspirations and delusions of grandeur.
