WASHINGTON — Republican Sen. Mitt Romney on Sunday defended the filibuster and blasted Democrats calling for its elimination, dismissing their latest discussion to end it in order to pass voting rights legislation as "an unserious partisan effort aimed at messaging and energizing that party's base."
"The need to marshal 60 votes to end a filibuster requires compromise and middle ground. It not only empowers the minority but also has helped to keep us centered, fostering the stability and predictability essential to investment in people, in capital and in the future," Romney, a moderate Republican who represents Utah, wrote in an op-ed published in The Washington Post, adding that nixing the filibuster "would fundamentally change the distinct and defining role of the U.S. Senate."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bush League Republican who represents the Cheap Labor Express, just like Rubio, Grahamnesty, Cornyn, Hoeven, Tillis, etc.
Says a feckless runt who only has any power when he’s part of the traitorous minority...
Mitt the $#*+ is about as moderate of a Republican as the Kardashians are moderate publicity hounds.
Here’s a plan to box in the democrats if the republicans win back both the Senate and the House.
The day before the new Senate is called to order in 2022 republican Senators but a motion on the floor to abolish the filibuster. Then watch the rat’s scream about the need to keep it. Make plenty of commercials showing their hypocrisy every time they ever bring up the subject again.
Just like the Republicans campaigning on ending Obamacare and then when the time came they didn’t do it.
WE’RE SAVED!
Let's Go, Brandon!!!
;>)
He’s a rock.
It’s what RINOs do! Then when a real issue hits like the fed taking over US elections, crickets....
