NSBA coordinated with White House, DOJ before sending notorious 'domestic terrorists' letter: emails

Newly-released internal emails reveal that the National School Boards Association coordinated with the White House and the Department of Justice before sending President Biden the notorious letter that compared concerned parents to domestic terrorists. Emails provided to Fox News show that NSBA had coordinated with the White House for weeks beforehand.

Viola Garcia, the NSBA president whom the Department of Education later named to a federal board, sent a memo to NSBA members on October 11 (but dated October 12), providing a timeline of the NSBA's interaction with the White House ahead of the letter to Biden, which the NSBA sent on September 29. Five days later, on October 4, the DOJ issued a memo directing law enforcement to investigate threats to school boards. On October 22, the NSBA issued an apology for the letter.

I am all for peaceful dissent and public expressions of dissatisfaction with elected officials. That is what public meetings, petitions, even recalls are for. If they are going to push crap, they are going to have to suffer the democratic expression of opposition later.

Having said that, I do not countenance some of the stuff going on these days and either only a blind person or somebody in on it or who likes it would ignore it. The death threats, the researching board members kids’ names and schools they go to, and threatening to kill them. This is happening. I have already heard some of these recordings and the like and I would want no part of that. That is not even conservatism. Google “Pennsbury School Board” in Pennsylvania...just a sample of stuff going on it seems.

It’s not a federal matter.

It’s not terrorism.

Call the cops, get a restraining order. Be prepared to defend yourself if you have to. That’s what victims of domestic violence and similar threats do.

As far as the subject of the thread goes, I take it you approve of the DOJ being involved, and having the FBI use its resources to go after parents targeted by local school boards - like the man in Loudoun, VA.

If he had any decency, Merrick Garland would resign as AG. He doesn’t and he won’t.

Unfortunately, it is now nationwide, and therefore federal in scope. I remember when socialists and anarchists did this years ago, and the feds were empowered to go after them. I could care less about left or right when it comes to extremism, violence, threats of violence and other things outside the scope of democratic law and the Constitution.

I think any major uptick of threats or violence nationwide needs to go on a radar screen and followed, no matter ANTIFA, Blackbloc, Revolutionary Socialist Brigades, Proud Boys, Three Percenter, Oathkeepers, no difference. Like Crips vs. Bloods in my book.

Indeed it is not, nor could it be under any theory. Can you help the reader understand your purpose for including that point in the same paragraph?

But let us set a hypothetical. If there are calls for violence or threats, such as naming people's children's names or publishing home addresses online and showing up threatening, do you condemn it? It is occuring.

Like I said, I make no distinction between any forms of violent radicalism either left or right, stuff going on outside the system.

Helpless people seeing illegal politics in school boards and getting the middle finger will do that.

Have you ever got so mad your expressed you wanted to kill someone? You didn’t. They didn’t. They did do what the DNC MSM taught hem to do, DOXX.

The president has expressed his red line against parents. This USG line in the sand may be the DNC’S undoing politically the next 2-6 years.

-- Unfortunately, it is now nationwide, and therefore federal in scope. --

That logic doesn't flow. Violating the speed limit is nationwide too.

If the feds have a bead on an interstate crew that is threatening teachers, go after that crew. I have no issue with that. But the fact that school administrators are getting hassled nationwide does not make it a federal matter. Girlfriends and wives are getting hassled nationwide, and that is a state or local police matter.

My point of view. I will walk away from this with the impression that you favor the feds getting involved "more" rather than "less" in general.
