For her side, sure, but that side is getting smaller and smaller. Kennedy is playing to his own audience. Those in the middle aren't likely to be swayed or even notice.

In the Trump era, Democrats were on offense and every little action by Republicans was ridiculed. Now the Democrats have to play defense, and as political performances go, Kennedy's wasn't one of the most embarrassing ones.

I suppose it’s wishful thinking on my part to expect serious behavior from anyone in Congress. Kennedy’s folksy act is all he’s got.
