He wants his old job back I suppose to fully vest his pension.
But still sue them.

I’m thinking that it’s quite possible that he could qualify for the $5000 incentive that DeSantis was offering, although that might strictly have to do with vaccine and mask mandates.

Can somebody please tell me why he would want his job back in Norfolk? His boss is obviously a POS, and DeSantis might give him $5000 to come work down here in Florida. Just look up what a lieutenant at the Norfolk PD with 19 years on the job makes and then find the highest-paying job in FL for someone with that rank and tenure, and you have your answer.

He was fired for using his official government email to donate, which is a firing offense in many organizations no matter *who* you donated to. Correct and I tend to agree, however, his superior, Chief of Police, Boone, paraded with the BLM while holding a "Black Lives Matter" sign. Also, his contribution was illegally revealed by a malicious hack and publicized by the UK Guardian, a far-LEFT newspaper. This deprived him of a chance to have the matter handled internally with potential of lesser punishments.
I am hoping that, given his short time to qualify for his 20y pension, he will be credited for that time as it is probably likely that any kind of legal case would get that anyway.

He Governor. A couple of messes to clean up including an incompetent Police chief in a major city.

"Why does he want to work for the bums after that?"Maybe because he has 19 years invested in his retirement which he will likely lose if he goes elsewhere?

ACLU, where are you?
They're too busy supporting mandatory COVID shots instead of allowing people to exercise their rights to informed consent and to excercise due diligence.

He never should have lost his job in the first place.
Wonder why the verdict should have anything to do with him losing or getting his job back.

Good post. I said at the time this story first broke that this guy might be too damned stupid to deserve a taxpayer-funded pension.

Sure, might be selective. On the other hand, it *is* a rule, he did break it without justification and he did deserve whatever the set punishment was.
On the other hand, he *does* have a case to sue for the selective enforcement and get everyone else at the department who donated to anyone other than something like a fallen officer fund using their official work emails punished.

When Kelly was fired, he was just 10 months away from his pension being vested. If he does not get his job back, he will never see the pension that he worked nearly 20 years to earn.My guess its this.
