Well again, he's not versed in how corrupt and biased the media is and believes the narrative that BLM actually stands for black people (they don't).
Either he believes BLM genuinely helps black people or he was told to just make a statement praising them so the media can get off his back for now.

You may be right. At 18, he's already been through a lot, and will be labeled, stalked, and harassed, probably for many years. Maybe he feels he needs to pander to the people who hate him, to take the heat off his family. I think he's more worried about them, than he is himself. Black Lives Matter could have been a whole lot more effective if they'd actually cared about all black lives, especially black babies aborted every day, and black-on-black crime, instead of using the Black Lives Matter name, and white cop excuse to pursue violence, looting, and arson. They're just a group of criminals, committing criminal acts.
