I joined the military at 18 also. I don’t know how or why you think I am being critical of the kid. In fact, I think he deserves sympathy and prayers for what he has endured. By all accounts he seems like a nice young man.
With that being said, there is a wisdom that generally comes with age and life experience. While there are always exceptions we don’t generally put 18 year olds in charge of anything because of that.
I think Kyle is going to be exploited by those who want him to say X or Y. It’s not fair to the young man either way because people on either side assume what he believes to fit their own narrative.
If he truly buys into the BLM lie he shows himself to be naive’ but having teenagers of my own I cut him slack because they are figuring out the world through the fog of media confusion.
BLM is built on a lie that police seek out young black men to kill. It is not true and there is no data to support the allegation. The surrender reaction to BLM protests has been and will be directly responsible for thousands of young black men being killed as police withdraw from those communities. One of the gals in charge of BLM who collected all the “donations” from corporate America and Hollywood last year took the money and moved to the suburbs in a white neighborhood and bought other homes in nice areas with her “salary”.
The real victims of BLM and the war on cops are the poorest communities. The vulnerable in those neighborhoods will pay the price as cops withdraw, businesses leave, and crime takes over. It’s tragic.
Not all groups with the name BLM in them are actually formal BLM led groups. We saw that during the rioting last year where there were regular, well-meaning concerned citizens who turned out to protest in the daytime, mostly black residents, who independently adopted the slogan, not knowing who was actually behind BLM ... but at night emerged the looters and also Marxist/Maoist “real” BLM and Antifa types...the latter were mostly white college students and out of town activists, radicalized by their professors and older SDS organizer types, and assisted by leftist lawyers.
Most people don’t think of BLM as a formal organization with staff and financing...they just think it is just a slogan of sympathy and a stand against police brutality, or at most, a loose grassroots movement like the Tea Party was. I doubt Kyle has any idea of what the real BLM is, or who founded it, and doesn’t know it really isn’t about ending discrimination or eliminating police brutality but rather, it is a front group about imposing a form of discrimination that Marxists find acceptable and useful to promote their agenda.

Every interview I’ve seen of this man he’s been thoughtful, reserved, articulate.......a really good spokesman for the family, which is what he is.

Yep. Not sure I’d do well being 17, the #1 target of the entire left, just two days ago acquitted, and then being put on the spot on a 1-1 interview.
The grizzled-veteran-attaboy Kyle memes were fun but anyone believing that didn’t watch the videos either.
Hopefully, Nicholas Sandmann or ssomeone will educate Kyle about how the world really works.

Ya, I’m thinking the same. I really do hope that his suits against the media are successful, because they’ve made it impossible for him to ever have a normal job.

And exactly how does him saying he supports black lives matter accomplish this?
His comment isn’t that big of deal IMO. He’s young and I think expecting him to be a conservative ideologue, that can “sniff out” every left-wing organization, is asking a bit much. I’m actually disappointed in how many people have turned on him over this. It seems petty.
The guy that took a shot at George Zimmerman was a white nutjob. The dude was stalking Zimmerman and put a bullet in his truck.
Nobody Rittenhouse shot was black, so my prediction is blacks don’t really give a crap. However the idiots he shot, (white left-wing punks) are everywhere.
In my town all the BLM protests have been peaceful, with a preponderance of white women. Many of them silly teenagers.
In Portland Oregon, which is right up the road from me, the women BLM outfits protest peacefully during the day. By night antifa starts tearing up the downtown area.
These groups I’m sure have “cross over” elements no doubt, but this is what I’ve witnessed in Oregon. Other parts of the country are probably different.
