In cases like this it should be ILLEGAL for any police or LEO to stand down. NO MATTER WHAT. Protect citizens and property COMES BEFORE rank and what should be unlawful orders from above.
Americans can no longer count on “the law” to protect them.
Law enforcement, especially at the top, have become political organizations. It is steadily filtering down the chain.
I don’t agree with that at all. I have an obligation to defend my family and my property. That’s it. That said, I would happily defend others if asked to do so but I don’t have a moral obligation.
It’s been decided by the courts that the police do not have a legal obligation to protect anyone.
“Every Able-Bodied Man Had A Moral Obligation To Protect Kenosha: Any able-bodied man over 16 years old had a moral obligation to defend against vandals, looters, and arsonists attacking while police stood down.”

The psycho rapist of make children caused all of it, in combination with the person who shot first while the psycho was chasing Rittenhouse.
Where were the cops when Rittenhouse was having a gun pointed at him and he was being pounded with a skateboard?

In my CC classes I was taught that you never tell anyone that you killed someone. You tell them that you stopped the threat.
And now the courts are telling us we are not allowed to use deadly force to protect property. Our rights are eroding before our eyes.

The militia is every male over 17 and under 45. They had a duty to protect their town from a rioting destructive murderous mob. Geezers can do whatever they deem prudent.

Yes, if our country were invaded I might pick and choose some battles to be involved with, but my arms and training are principally to protect my family and myself.
