Jurors in the Ahmaud Arbery slay case started deliberating Tuesday over the fate of the three white men accused of killing the black unarmed jogger in Georgia last year.

Gregory McMichael, 65, his son Travis McMichael, 35, and their neighbor William “Roddie” Bryan, 52, are charged with murder, aggravated assault and other crimes in the shooting death of Arbery, 25, who they suspected was fleeing a burglary as he ran through their neighborhood near Brunswick.

Superior Court Judge Timothy Walmsley told the jurors Tuesday, “It is your duty to consider the facts objectively without favor, affection, or sympathy to anyone.”

Walmsley directed them to retire to the jury room, where they began officially deliberating the case at 11:53 a.m..

If “Not Guilty”, more than just Atl.

That said, I think they’ll be found guilty.

Jessie Jackson and Rev Al have been down there almost every day sitting in court with the family and holding prayer vigils. The defense tried to have them removed from the court but the judge said he would not remove any reverend from the gallery (vomit). Now you have the New Black Panthers, etc all outside the courthouse. I don’t care what the verdict is, there will be problems with all the thugs and criminals already in place.

In some way I bet the CRT and the rest of the race-baiting commies would love to see a not guilty decision. That would be gold for them to PROVE that systemic racism is rampant in the US justice system.

After watching the trial, I would vote “not guilty” on all charges and let these guys go free. I changed my mind from “guilty” after listening to the testimony.

People are gonna be upset either way. But, there is problems in the US justice system. Aka jan 06, kyle, fbi, etc etc etc. People aren’t ‘woke’ enough on such matters as that. People have trusted government for far too long.

Guilty of trying to be the police and not calling the police.
They tried to detain him, and Goober got too close with the shotgun and killed him.
One could argue self defense, but it doesn’t look good.
Three white guys with a truck chasing down one black guy on foot.

Personally, I think they should be found guilty of some degree of homicide. They were pretty much the definition of vigilantes. The wx-cop dad apparently didn’t understand that he was “ex.”

Followed the case semi-closely. The whole thing stemmed from the McMichaels attempting to effect a “citizens arrest” of Arbery, but under Georgia law, they needed “immediate knowledge” of a felony, which they basically admitted that they didn’t have. They suspected (correctly) that Arbery had entered a house under construction (the felony, burglary), but the McMichaels basically admitted that they had a suspicion and wanted to question Arbery, they didn’t actually see him enter or leave the house.

So they didn’t actually have the legal right to detain or arrest Arbery, making their use of force illegal. So the McMIchaels are probably rightly guilty. Bryan was basically along for the ride, and it would not be surprising if he’s acquitted.

What point(s) made you change your mind? I read quite a bit about it and it seemed like they were chasing the man they thought was a burglar. I am not sure how they get from chasing him to shooting him in self defense!

Understand. But if the tumult is in some Democrat controlled urban city, why should I or you care?

I agree. If what the NY Post wrote is true this case is a complete 180 of Rittenhouse. These three decided to follow someone, make the initial contact and then escalate the situation further.

From what I've learned, from every angle and source, these guys when well over the line.

It's especially egregious because the elder guy worked for the DA as an investigator and should have known better.
