ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Bernalillo County District Attorney Raúl Torrez says Facebook has repeatedly refused to turn over account information pertaining to members of the New Mexico Civil Guard.
The self-declared militia started showing up to Albuquerque protests last summer. Massive protests were held across the country after George Floyd's murder in Minneapolis. The New Mexico Civil Guard claimed they were keeping the peace at local protests.
In July 2020, Torrez filed a civil lawsuit against the New Mexico Civil Guard. He's hoping to get a ruling from a judge that will ban milita groups from organizing and operating in New Mexico.
As part of that, the district attorney is seeking records from Facebook. He said the NMCG used Facebook to recruit members and organize actions. Torrez wants to know who created the Facebook page and who managed it.
"The latest communications we've had with Facebook center around the fact that they no longer hold the account information that we're asking for and they deleted this information," Torrez said. "We find it hard to believe that a trillion-dollar tech company would be in a position such as they would delete this information and be unable to recover it."
The district attorney filed a petition Monday in a court in San Mateo County, California. He's hoping the judge there will give a ruling that will force Facebook to comply with the subpoena. Torrez expects to make his case in a California court in three to fourth months.
Police, who had been told to stand down and away from the protest by the liberal city mayor and deputy chief, were hiding behind a building and only after the shooting came to arrest Baca and disarm the Civil Guard.
Soros DA Torrez charged Baca with attempted murder but did not arrest any of the protestors/rioters. He also started proceedings against the Civil Guard saying they were a hate group acting as a police force (see the link above).
NM list PING!

BTW, as in the Rittenhouse case, there is video of Baca running from the protestors, then the actual attack on Baca by two of them, and Baca shooting from the ground at the skateboard holding attacker.
BTTT
Why is New Mexico so liberal? I don’t get it. It lies between Texas and Arizona, which are both red, or at least reddish purple, states. But New Mexico is dark blue, and the only Republican I can think of from the state is Gary Johnson, who became the Libertarian candidate for President.
What factors made New Mexico blue?
Lots of impoverished hispanics and Pueblo (Native American) residents, dependent on Govt. Also a large artsy/LGBT crowd.

There are so many similarities with the Rittenhouse case with the leftist method of attack.
If this leftist Soros thug DA is successful in banning the organization of militias in NM, I have a feeling that it is going to create MORE militias, more quietly organized.
In NM even most of the democrats... the ones born here anyway, love their guns and Second Amendment rights.
This is a chess game to them, checkmate soros and others freeze their assets and you will see the beginning of the end for them and their organizations that are creating this havoc
Demographics is Destiny, they say. So, I guess New Mexico is yet another proof-point for that.
Only 2 million people in the whole state. (Biden has let that many illegals in since his election).
Here are the Census demographics on the State:
PEOPLE | |
Population | |
Population, Census, April 1, 2020 | 2,117,522 |
Population, Census, April 1, 2010 | 2,059,179 |
Population, percent change - April 1, 2010 (estimates base) to July 1, 2019 | 1.8% |
Race and Hispanic Origin | |
White alone, percent | 81.9% |
Black or African American alone, percent | 2.6% |
American Indian and Alaska Native alone, percent | 11.0% |
Asian alone, percent | 1.8% |
Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander alone, percent | 0.2% |
Two or More Races, percent | 2.6% |
Hispanic or Latino, percent | 49.3% |
White alone, not Hispanic or Latino, percent | 36.8% |
WOW! Is it the only state, other than Hawaii where white people are a minority already?
It seems like a nice place, I've visited, but I don't see much of a future for freedom in a place like that, do you? Demographics IS destiny, and the destiny of Latin themed states is to revert to Latin norms.
Which makes perfect sense, and probably suits the majority there. But in considering places that might be friendly to people wanting traditional American values (like support for the full Bill or Rights, including the Second Amendment) it seems dicey. That's not really the background of most of the people there, already.
Am I missing something?
