Jury finds Unite the Right defendants liable for more than $26 million in damages

Charlottesville, Virginia (CNN)A jury has awarded more than $26 million in damages after finding the White nationalists who organized and participated in a violent 2017 rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, liable on a state conspiracy claim and other claims.

The jury in the federal civil trial said Tuesday it could not reach a verdict on two federal conspiracy claims. The violence during the Unite the Right rally turned the Virginia city into another battleground in America's culture wars and highlighted growing polarization. It was also an event that empowered White supremacists and nationalists to demonstrate their beliefs in public rather than just online. The first federal conspiracy claim was the most prominent against the defendants because it alleged the defendants conspired to commit racially motivated violence while the second alleged the defendants had knowledge of a conspiracy and failed to prevent it.

Looks to be more liberal feel good than anything, don't think the named defendants can give up $26 Mil. Somehow the Jury missed naming Trump.

But what investigation of police and city actions were brought up in the trial?

That jackass is anything but of the right. I’m very glad that they’ve been fined.

The Heaphy Report was not allowed to be entered into evidence by the prosecution. Turns out Kaplan also had an existing relationship with the judge’s clerks, and was giving them money during the trial.

The FBI can easily afford that. I’m sure all members of this group work for them or some other federal agency

Not much, the Heaphy report was not admissible evidence.

It was staged, and nothing much said about it can be believed.

Minnesota Freedom Fund I believe is out of money. (leftist organization that finances these fake operations and bails rioters out of jail)

May I ask you a question?

Do you believe there are young white males in this country who hate anyone who isn't white simply due to the color of their skin?

One violent riot out of 500 is prosecuted.
Two systems of justice.

Did Unite The Right have a permit to be there?

They should have sued Charlottesville for providing inadequate police presence.

This is a very dangerous decision, if it is used as a precedent.

why hasn’t anyone sued Black Lies Matter, Antifa, and others for the damage and death in all the riots?

Because the story I had was from US Today and that forbids even excerpting. FR had no mention of this story and I thought is was important. So it was either CNN or Al Jazzera.
