Republican Virginia Lt. Gov.-elect Winsome Sears took a strong stand for individual liberty Sunday as she said forcing the coronavirus vaccine on those who do not need it is wrong.
Sears appeared on the CNN show “State of the Union” on Sunday, where she tried to talk common sense to host Dana Bash.
“Let's ask ourselves, if the purpose of the COVID vaccine is to prevent us from getting COVID, then why is it that those who have had COVID must get the vaccine?” she said as she began staking out her position.
“The one doesn't follow the other. And so there are people who, when they get COVID, they also get the monoclonal antibody therapy. And it's working. It's working very well in Florida, if you notice what's happening there. And so one size doesn't fit all,” she said.
Sears said that supporting a sensible approach does not mean she opposes the vaccine.

“I have noticed their absence.”
Absent but not missed…
Yep, hang onto the lie even when the truth smacks you in the face.
Excellent comeback! 😂
I suggest you examine other opinions with care. It is the route to self improvement. In particular, in this case, I suggest you read Codevilla for some, IMHO, highly necessary broadening of the mind that is immediately relevant. There is a very great deal wrong with the world that is not communism. And
Some exposure to the history of political ideology wouldn’t go astray either. There are a vast number of good books out there, but some to start with include “Modern Times”, Paul Johnson, “The Birth of the Modern” (all this stuff started somewhere, after all), Johnson, and “The Conservative Mind”, Russell Kirk.
For an “instant” (if reading 11 fat volumes counts as instant) liberal education (not in the modern sense of liberal), far better than that of nearly all current kids with a Phd, go read Will and Ariel Durant’s “Story of Civilization” series. Yes I will require papers and there will be tests!
Education is not just a corrupt academic specialty, it is a mandate upon us, to learn, consider, speculate and discuss.
