That happened in the 90s in NYC.
Put the price of Timberlines out of reach for me, so I switched to Wolverine. One day I go to my local shoe store to get a pair. Not carrying them anymore. Owner told me that the only Wolverine sales he had were myself and another working man. Considering the mark-up he made off the kids with Timberline, it didn’t pay for him to carry the non-fad brands.
I ended up getting my work shoes out of a semi trailer at the Water Tunnel 2 site in Astoria, Queens. Good source for other inexpensive work clothes also.

Phil Knight is pretty White but you’ve been smoking hippie lettuce if you think black folk will ever give up Nike shoes.
So this is good news in my book make it permanent
How is this not racist? In fact, is this not the very definition of racism? Which is of course illegal in the USA. Or was.
I’m sure most white companies would love to have no black looters, shoplifters, or just all-around trouble makers in their stores.
Completely agree- there’s a shop here in town with a “Black Lives Matter” sign in the window. I will never step foot in it.
I also try not to spend $0.01 at Amazon
Whites should do a month-long boycott of companies who use black models in their commercials.
Black Lives Matter movement
Yes I have one every morning.
Why is his face on his product but they took away Aunt Jemima’s?
“Does that include the places being looted too?”
Well, boycotting is more civilized than violence. The blacks effectively used boycotting in the ‘50s didn’t they?
Boycotting is within the law.
