I’ll repeat something, and this is something that many have said.
There is ALWAYS a camera running on set. If he was practicing anything, he was being recorded.
The gun could have a worn sear but that’s something easily checked. That he says he “sort of cocked” the gun makes me think he may have pulled the hammer back not far enough for the gun to be cocked but far enough fire the round when he released the hammer. Bad gun safety. His fault. Shouldn’t have been pointing it at someone whatever the case.
