Despite President Joe Biden’s abysmal approval ratings as the nation suffers from the supply-chain crisis and crippling inflation, elites attending the Kennedy Center Honors on Sunday night gave the increasingly polarizing president a standing ovation.
The moment occurred when comedian David Letterman bashed former President Donald Trump to acknowledge President Biden, who kept his mask fully on during the event.

I think the applause was sincere. Who was in the audience? Those most likely to approve of the destruction of the USA. The self appointed elite who think they should rule us lowly serfs, government apparatchiks who love to see government grow, big time Democrat donors who get the thrill of rubbing up against sleazy politicians, etc. and there are few if any politicians sleazier than slo joe.
I watched that show once- when they honored Led Zeppelin. And i cringed every time they showed ayatollah obama and his wife. Later Robert Plant remarked it took forever for Page, Plant & Jones, the honorees, to get into the building due to security.
Really sounded and looked like an event for and of the people.
David Letterman is still alive?!
I looked him up. He’s a brisk 74. So, exactly what demographic are they reaching out to?
I suspect he was WAY down on the list of actors for this role. All the younger ones, and those with some...what’s the word?...”diversity?” turned them down. Nobody wants to be seen with a president as terrible as this one. (Opra was getting her nails done that day.)
Inflation and unemployment doesn’t affect the inner circle.

Yes. I think the phrase for the obeisance of politburo toadies was “stormy applause.”
In a way.....Trump is kind of like the Lord who lives in the minds of the Godless and those who hate him. An obsession. But in the end for them.....perhaps the most depressing words filled with despair recorded in the entire Bible......it’s in the book of Jude:
“for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.”

How pathetic. Like bashing Trump takes courage. It’s like throwing a puppy off a bridge looking for laughs.
Weak, lame.
Let’s see, this event was:
1. Hosted by a guy who while married had sex with interns and staff from his show.
2. Held at a center named after a guy who routinely cheated on his wife while President, and whose brother of the same surname drove off a bridge and left a girl to drown in a submerged car without reporting the incident for 10 hours.
3. Honoring a guy who has been accused of sexual harassment, has inappropriately touched children, swam naked in front of female secret service agents in the White House pool, and as President a short time has ruined the record economy that the former President built during his term.
Nonetheless, the host takes the opportunity to trash a man (and by extension the millions and millions of Americans who support him) who was by the numbers one of the most successful President’s ever, and who respected the office.
