Former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows will no longer be cooperating with a committee investigating the events of Jan. 6, despite previous efforts to work with them.
Meadows and his attorney George Terwilliger notified the committee Tuesday morning, after the senior Trump administration official could not come to terms with lawmakers on an arrangement to work with them.
Terwilliger said Meadows was looking to appear voluntarily before the committee and answer questions that Meadows believed were not protected by executive privilege.
Meadows is set to appear on "Hannity" Tuesday evening.

He saw the politics of it after trying to get real discovery in the case. They won’t open the files, so he refuses to cooperate.
When the investigators are non serious, someone has to attempt to work with them to collect information about the “discovery” and the tone on how non serious they are.
Medows has been the tip of the spear for much of this bullshit, and would be the one most likely to be the guy to set up the whitehouse power structure and be transition lead for a trumpworld return.
It is going to take 2 years to publish a report and it will come out just before the Election, but will it matter.
My impression is he is a sell-out.
I read the book “The Deep Rig” by Patrick Byrne where he described how Trump was being shielded from him (Patrick Byrne) Sidney Powell, and General Flynn, and they wouldn’t let them meet with him, which is the job of Meadows as Chief of Staff.
They bluffed their way into the White House, and managed to meet with Trump, explained what his options were as they saw them, and Trump asked why nobody on his own team had come to him with these options before. He was enthusiastic, and wanted to make Sidney Powell his Legal Counsel. Patrick Cippilone was there and said it would take too long to get her a security clearance, when Flynn said something like: “Mr. President, you are the President. You can grant a security clearance to whoever you wish.”
So Trump agreed, and told Meadows to formalize it and make it happen. Time was of the essence, and when it still had not happened in a week, Byrne was told by Meadows “Yeah...we’re working on it.” and that was it. He was stalling.
As far as I am concerned, he is a snake.
And even though I think Meadows was in on the movement to stall things and force Trump out so people like him wouldn’t have to do anything, he is spot on and correct to refuse to work with those Leftist Scumbags.
Its a Soviet Show Trial.
Them holding hearings in secret should indicate the level of corruption associated with these “proceedings”.
Meadows is good. He knows what the deal is.
I doubt politics had anything to do with his reversal, coming as it does the day after Devin Nunes’ new gig is announced.
Trump Media offers a big money option for those who remain loyal. That’s never existed before, Rush, Hannity, et al made millions but they kept it all for themselves. Trump Media holds the potential to create the “Trump Institute for Advanced MAGA Studies” and there will be plenty of money to spread around once he monetizes what he was giving away for free on Twitter.
I can get behind that. Twitter really did themselves no favor kicking Trump off their network, because that has propelled the search for a feasible alternative.
Twitter will ultimately reap what it has sown.
Maybe he can hire an actor to shill for him, or a ventriloquist, until they honor his discovery requests.
I agree. I trust that he’s making decisions for the right reasons. The part about his book saying DJT tested positive for Covid before a debate with Brandon was proven to be FAKE NEWS, although it did seem to plant a seed with many conservatives to think Meadows was a sell-out.
