New York Attorney General Leticia James announced on Thursday that she is suspending her campaign for governor. "I have come to the conclusion that I must continue my work as attorney general," James said on Twitter, adding that she would instead run for re-election. "There are a number of important investigations and cases that are underway, and I intend to finish the job," she wrote.

Translation: Her NY state political faction (based in the most Leftwing politics of NYC) is losing out to the woman who has replaced Cuomo. James faction is close to Di Blasio’s and he has become toxic. Cuomo’s replacement is seen as more “moderate” and more electable than James. EVEN THOUGH it was all the Leftists that fought the most to get Cuomo unmasked and dethroned; thinking they were opening up the chance for James to replace him in the next election.
Sounds like she had things explained to her, good reasons why she should drop out of the race. The selection for nomination has already been made, it sounds like. Oh, and for leverage, some crime she committed in the past that had been covered up until now? Scandal about to break? That's what happened to her predecessor.

Letitia James, the New York attorney general, has requested Trump sit for a deposition by January 7, according to The Washington Post, which first reported the request.
The new AG should investigate her for conflict of interest.
