WTH!? What gives Mark Ghaly the right to mandate a piece of porous cloth over everyone's face? This facetious mandate
should be flaunted at every opportunity.

Cases are up? There is an increase in homelessness, food prices, looting, influenza and halitosis. How about we
accept a Statewide mandate to say daily prayer beads for those problems to vanish? The likelihood of success rivals that of
masks.

I’m pursuing a similar strategy. If asked to mask I mask up but don’t return. Some exceptions. I still go to Costco for example.

I guess even having 73% of your people vaccinated isn't what it used to be. You'd think between vaccines at that high rate and recovered cases with natural immunity they'd have achieved herd immunity or at least enough generalized immunity to slow the spread to the point it wouldn't be a concern and you wouldn't need regressive mandates.

Ok, yes, 73% is just one dose. They are in the mid 60s percentage "fully" vaccinated. Although they'll probably be one of the first places to strip the "fully vaccinated" of that designation until they get a booster. Then they'll be "fully vaccinated" again... At least for the next couple of months.

But I guess tyrants gonna tyrant so out come the mandates. Again. Y'all feel like Charlie Brown trying for that football of normalcy that Lucy just keeps yanking away? I thought we were promised the vaccines would allow a return to normal?

I detest masks and can’t breathe in them. I find the mask mandate MUCH more irritating and an infringement on my daily life than vaccine mandate (I got it though so I can travel overseas).

I looked at Worldometer, it didn’t “jump” at all. It’s 1/5th the rate it was a few months ago. Mostly it is flat to down. There was a blip in the 3 day average about two weeks ago but still much, much lower than the rate in September. The three day average is currently being reported as 1/3 of what that blip was just two weeks ago.

Assuming Worldometer is correct, the state is making decisions based on thin air.

From my experience, most of the places you go for entertainment are pretty low-key. But when I go into Lowe’s or a grocery store in north Orange County I’m usually one of a handful of people who are not wearing a mask. In fact Lowes has a big sign at the door asking customers to wear masks. I don’t.

I made some easy homemade gaiters basically from old t shirts. Very breathable. Obviously useless but aren’t they all. They are around my neck like a colorful necklace unless some beleaguered employee asks me to put a mask
on.

I ignore anyone who isn’t an employee and anyone outside. No authority.
