Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) was mocked by conservatives Monday evening after a hearing of the United States House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack produced text messages from former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows that showed numerous people close to then-President Donald Trump, including his son, were surprised by the Capitol riot and reached out to him to issue a statement against it — which he then did.
The panel voted to recommend that the full House vote to hold Meadows in contempt of Congress and refer him for prosecution to the Department of Justice, even though Meadows has provided information to the committee.

What time did President Trump issue his statement?
Those seem to be pretty important data points.

In a quick search, do not see the times the messages were sent.
It’s pretty apparent that Cheney is in part score settling. But if she’s serious about this, she will note the time stamps of the messages.
President Trump contacted the Sec. of Defense to ask for 10,000 National Guard Troops prior to the event. That means he tried to do the right thing. Pelosi and Schummer must have blocked his efforts.
The Congressional committee is playing politics. Not sure if the committee is even legit. McCarthy did not appoint anyone on the commitee.

They need to switch parties so Nancy can approve them.

Pelosi couldn’t get Trump with impeachments. Now she is trying to use the committee to distract from stacks of failings in 11 short months.
Why aren’t the Republicans standing up and fighting this and Pelosi and her Nazi actions? I blame them for staying silent. Even if you didn’t agree with President Trump and the rally or what happened afterward, this wholesale fishing exercise Pelosi is running is not legit. It is a act of persecuting a past President she hated. Period.
