Educators announced plans to increase security in response to TikTok posts warning of shooting and bomb threats at schools around the country Friday as officials assured parents the viral posts were not considered credible.
The social media threats had many educators on edge as they circulated in the aftermath of a deadly school shooting in Michigan, which has been followed by numerous copycat threats to schools elsewhere.
School officials in states including Arizona, Connecticut, Illinois, Montana, New York and Pennsylvania said Thursday there would be an increased police presence because of the threats.
The vague, anonymous posts circulating online warned that multiple schools would receive shooting and bomb threats.

I had a shooting range in my high school, located under the gym. It was a required course to graduate. Back then the teachers nd admin would come out to see what weapons we had and show off their own. I even had a gun rack in the back window of my VW beetle.
Funny, we had guns and ammo EVERYWHERE, and not a single school shooting.
Southern NJ. Three of our regional high school received a threat yesterday. Got letter from school telling parents about it.

Many of the parents are not sending their kids according to FB comments in our area. My great niece is in grade school. She leaves for Colorado on Sunday so I doubt her parents send her.
They need to hang some kids by their Buster Browns.
Considering the stupid, idiotic things tik tok users have been known for going alone with, I would take this seriously.
Haven’t all of them been on SSRIs since this started? Most people aren’t teaching kids how to cope with life now.

Trucks had gun racks with guns that were loaded. Not a single shooting at the school. Imagine that! Plus, cars were not locked and not robbed.

My grandson’s high school in Frisco, TX was closed Monday and Tuesday this week due to threats like this.
Guaranteed if you were in an "urban" school in, say, Chicago, where the highschoolers are about to graduate but are completely illiterate, if guns were available people would get shot and die horribly even if the shooter was surrounded by fully armed soldiers. That's how impulsive Urban Youth are nowadays.

Use to bring out rifles to school and go plinking in the field across the field. To my knowledge no one who did that became a school teacher.
