A former defense contractor was arrested after allegedly attempting to send classified U.S. Air Force information to Russia.
John Murray Rowe Jr., a 63-year-old man from South Dakota, "attempted to provide classified national defense information to the Russian government," according to a Justice Department press release Thursday. Row, who is originally from Massachusetts, spent 40 years as a test engineer for multiple defense contractors, where he was able to obtain multiple security clearances....
...Rowe then spent months exchanging over 300 emails with the undercover agent in which he said he was willing to work with the Russian government and share classified information. ..

Yet Hillary Clinton can actually provide the information to multiple foreign governments and never even be arrested.
I remember when Slick Willie made it very easy for Loral to share multi-stage rocket lift technology with the Chinese. They’ve come a long way, baby...
Yep, and one of the countries she provided it to was the Russians.
What if every soon-to-be discharged soldier/sailor/airman threatened to join the Russian military? Take their US military knowledge with them. Two can play this game.
“John Murray Rowe Jr...”attempted to provide classified national defense information to the Russian government,”
“Between 2004 and 2018, Rowe worked with four contractors but was terminated after multiple security violations...he allegedly “inquired about the possibility of simultaneously holding a U.S. security clearance and a Russian security clearance.”
“His actions EVENTUALLY led the FBI to investigate”
Nice that the FBI had time to investigate so they could get around to a guy more OBVIOUS than even Aldrich Ames. I guess without Trump in office, life gets dull over there, since they’re not allowed to investigate Democrats.
What the FBI SHOULD be doing is TESTING people who have clearances and seeing if they respond correctly, such as immediately reporting the attempt to the field office (a little FBI lingo there). If not, the clearance is pulled.
I represent people whose clearance have been denied or revoked for stupid things that have no bearing on their trustworthiness. There is no excuse for this guy’s access not having been revoked except that the people he worked for didn’t send the violation reports through the system. The standard for being awarded a clearance is that it is “clearly in the National interest” for you to have one. Not so much with this guy.

I had to look twice just to make sure it wasn’t Tilley making another phone call.
I admire your work, given that there are very few people out there as ‘pure as the wind-driven snow’, me included!
it seems like there’s a spy story every week lately
DOJ trying to pretend they are working on something besides lynching the 1/6ers.
The Russians should be coming by soon to claim he didn’t do anything wrong
Crime pays, when you aren't punished. The DOJ is much too worried about some trespassers at the Capital.
That’s the beauty of the “mitigating factors” listed right in the Administrative Guidelines - find some stuff that either makes it “not that bad” or shows you’re “real sorry and won’t never do it again”!
I heard that The Marines is the men’s department of the Navy.
Can’t have any competition for Hunter and Jao Bai-din.
Yeah, never leave your buddy’s behind.
