Record-High Two-Thirds of Democrats Approve of Socialism as Party Grows More Radical and out of Mainstream

A record number of Democrats say they approve of socialism, even as Americans overall remain steadfast in their opposition.

A record-high 65 percent of Democrats tell the Gallup polling organization they have a positive view of socialism, a drastic increase over the 53 percent who said the same in 2010.

Gallup has conducted six polls since 2010 asking Americans if they have a positive or negative view of small business, free enterprise, capitalism, “big business,” socialism and the federal government.

Gallup’s 2021 poll found 60 percent of Americans approving of capitalism and 38 percent approving of socialism. That figure has been nearly identical in all six polls since 2010.

But there’s been a drastic change among increasingly radicalized Democrats.

Yes, though Communism is the end goal of Socialism. Of course, that “voluntary” part is absolutely unattainable, so the “force” part lasts forever.

All I need to know about socialism I learned while working one summer long ago as a go fer at a parts store, of all places. One of our regular customers was the local go to guy when it came to German cars. We nicknamed him Sputnik because years earlier he, his wife and then newborn son escaped E Berlin just as the wall was going up. One day I asked my grand nephew who was so fond of one of his lefty professors at USF If socialism/marxism/communism is such a perfect ideal utopian paradise of sunshine lollipops and everything wonderful why was that damn wall built in the first place? For all his pseudo intellectualism he couldn't give me a straight answer.

Speaking of cars years later I was at a car show in NYC. Someone who owns a body shop in Queens managed to buy an East German built late 80's Trabant and import it into the US. Normally foreign built cars not originally sold in the US more than 25 yrs old are exempt from safety and emissions standards, but these 💩boxes are so dangerous and polluting he had to agree never to register it. It's only useful as an historic relic and an example of fine precision commie engineering.

That’s funny. Most of the adult, relatively-sane Democrats I know can’t stand the Democrats anymore after this two years of chaos. And they have NO USE for Joe Biden and his “Administration.”

The Dems have completely overplayed their hand with “average Americans.” What they have left are marginal grievance groups, college students looking for student loan forgiveness, and multi-generational welfare recipients.

Why limit it to the Democrats? I’d say a good 75.00% of
the Republicans are of the same mind.

You see almost no full on repudiation of the Democrats. The
Republicans for the most part are carrying on as if things
were never more normal than now.

The Demonrats were fine with Socialism back in 1896 when they purged the center-right Bourbons from leadership (deposing Grover Cleveland in favor of William Jennings Bryan). The big problem is that the GOP is just fine and dandy managing their Socialism rather than getting rid of it. Since FDR, they’ve been paying lip service to wanting to shrink the government, but you have to go back 100 years to President Harding in 1921 to find the last administration that ACTED to shrink the size of the government after 8 years of Wilsonian Socialism.

That is because socialism destroys innovation and independent thought. They must steal and copy from others because there is no incentive for intellectual design (profit).

Of course, your socialist-loving students of our universities will tell you that the US created this via CIA undermining of socialism and market manipulation. Really. They say this CIA interference is why Venezuela collapsed, not because socialism has a 100% failure rate.
